2、s 30 HP and above, and for areas in an electrical distribution system that are unusually rich in switch-mode power supplies and other non-linear loads. 3. It is suggested that the A/E model the harmonic-producing loads and use the load kVA, the harmonic profile of the load current, and the configura

3、tion of the electrical system to determine the type(s) of active and/or passive filters to be employed. PART 1 - GENERAL 1.1 DESCRIPTION This section specifies the furnishing, installation, and connection of harmonic mitigation filter equipment. 1.2 RELATED WORK /A. Section 13 05 41, SEISMIC RESTRAI

In accordance with Section 26 05 11, REQUIREMENTS FOR ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS, submit the following: Provided by

Clearly present sufficient information to determine compliance with drawings and specifications. 2. Include electrical ratings, dimensions, weights, mounting details and mate

8、rials, terminations, and connection diagrams. 3. Complete nameplate data including manufacturers name and catalog number. SPEC WRITER NOTE: Include the paragraphs below when harmonic filters are used in conjunction with adjustable frequency drives. /4. Calculated harmonic analysis that predicts the

9、full-load voltage and current harmonic distortion at the bus to which the adjustable frequency drives are connected. /5. Letter from manufacturer demonstrating compatibility between the harmonic mitigation equipment and the adjustable frequency drives proposed for the project./ C. Manuals: 1. When s

10、ubmitting the shop drawings, submit companion copies of complete maintenance and operating manuals including technical data sheets and wiring diagrams. 2. If changes have been made to the originally submitted maintenance and operating manuals, then two weeks prior to final inspection, submit four co

Choose type of filters based on the harmonic li

15、ne and neutral current profile of the load. Choose HP, kVA, or A rating of filtering equipment appropriate to the load requiring harmonic mitigation, and show on the drawings. Show series or parallel connection to the load. PART 2 - PRODUCTS 2.1 PASSIVE HARMONIC FILTER SPEC WRITER NOTE: Edit the par

16、agraphs below to conform to project requirements. Provide each /adjustable frequency drive/ /set of two adjustable frequency drives/ /nonlinear load/ as shown on drawings with a three-phase, three-wire external harmonic filter with the following requirements: 1. The filter shall treat low frequency

17、harmonics (5th, 7th, 11th, 13th, etc.) by a passive inductor/capacitor network. 2. The filter shall not resonate with system impedances. 3. The filter shall not introduce capacitive reactive power (kVAR) greater than 20% of the filters kVA rating. 4. Total harmonic voltage distortion at the filter i

18、nput shall not exceed 5%. Individual harmonic voltage distortion at the filter input shall not exceed 3%. Total current demand distortion at the filter input shall not exceed 8%. 5. The filter efficiency shall not be less than 99%. 6. All internal wiring shall be copper. 7. NEMA /1/ /3R/ enclosure.

19、8. Refer to drawings for /kVA rating/ /HP/ /A/ and V ratings of the filter. 2.2 ACTIVE HARMONIC FILTER SPEC WRITER NOTE: Edit the paragraphs below to conform to project requirements. Three-wire filters are typically used for large adjustable frequency drive loads, and four-wire filters for filtering

20、 the grounded conductor of triplen harmonics introduced by switch-mode power supplies. Provide each /adjustable frequency drive/ /set of two adjustable frequency drives/ /nonlinear load/ as shown on drawings with a three-phase, /three-wire/ /four-wire/ external harmonic filter with the following req

The filter shall treat low frequency harmonics (3rd, 5th, 7th, 11th, 13th, etc.) by microprocessor-controlled active power electronics which switch the AC power to contr

22、ol the output. 2. Total harmonic distortion at the filter input shall not exceed 5%. 3. Power factor correction to 0.98 minimum. 4. Graphical display shall at a minimum show spectrum data, line voltage and current, harmonic current, and reactive current. 5. Refer to drawings for /kVA rating/ /HP/ /A

23、/ and V ratings of the filter. PART 3 - EXECUTION 3.1 ACCEPTANCE CHECKS AND TESTS A. Perform tests in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations. Include the following visual and mechanical inspections. 1. Compare equipment nameplate data with specifications and approved shop drawings. 2. Ins

24、pect physical and mechanical condition. 3. Inspect all field-installed bolted electrical connections, verifying tightness of accessible bolted electrical connections by calibrated torque-wrench method. 4. Perform specific inspections and mechanical tests as recommended by manufacturer. 5. Verify cor

25、rect equipment grounding. B. Perform the following electrical tests. /For adjustable frequency drive loads, perform test both with all drives in bypass mode and motors operating at full load, and with add drives and motors operating at full load./ Measure and record current and voltage total harmoni

26、c distortion at the filter input terminals, using harmonic measuring equipment with a current calibration certificate.
