Revision an

3、d introduction. 1. Review the phrases and expression in Section A by showing some pictures. T: whats wrong with him/her? S1: He/She has a toothache. 2. Point to one of the pictures and ask the whole class, “whats wrong with him?”S2: He has a T: yes, he may have the flu. And he is feeling terrible. (

4、 lead to the new phrases “have the flu, feel terrible.”)Step 2. Presentation 1. Teacher continues to introduce the new words by showing a picture with “terrible, a bad cold, a terrible cold” on it. Teacher asks while students answer together: “ Whats wrong with him? ” T: Yes, he had better take some

5、 medicine and have a good rest. ( lead to the new phrases and the key sentences.)2. T: Bruce is feeling terrible today. Lets listen to 1a carefully and know about “whats wrong with him?” Then finish 1b. 3. Students listen and finish 1b.4. Listen 1a once again and mark T or F in 1c.5. Let students re

6、ad 1a individually and check 1b and 1c.6. Read 1a after the tape. ( Students read after the recording one by one and try to imitate the recording. )7. Teacher and students try to understand the key points in 1a: (1) How long have you been like this? (2) Youd better take some medicine.(3) feel terrib
