23、 53 54 55 56 57 58 59 60 504-1 Call Forwarding No Answer (CFNA) 1 Call ForwardingNo Answer (CFNA) Call ForwardingNo Answer (CFNA) permits a called subscriber to have the system send incoming calls addressed to the called subscribers Directory Number to another Directory Number (forward-to number) or
24、 to the called subscribers designated voice mailbox, when the subscriber fails to answer, or is otherwise inaccessible (including no paging response, the subscribers location is not known, the subscriber is reported as inactive, Call Delivery is not active for a roaming subscriber, Do Not Disturb is
25、 active, etc.). CFNA does not apply when the subscriber is considered to be busy. CFNA does not impact a subscribers ability to originate calls. A subscriber may select a forward-to number termination address when the subscriber registers the CFNA. Applicability to Telecommunications Services CFNA i
26、s applicable to voice telecommunication services. 1.1 Normal Procedures with Successful Outcome Authorization CFNA may be generally available or may be provided after prearrangement with the service provider. The authorization may have the following subscription options: Table 1: CFNA Subscription O

Activation Demand. The subscriber is authorized to control the activation and deactivation of CFNA. Permanent

CFNA may be registered by a Variable Registration authorized subscriber specifying the CFNA registration feature code and a forward-to number termination address or voice message system Modifier Digit 8 (“V” on the keypad), as in: *FC + termination address + SEND , or *FC + 8 + SEND (Vo

Registration associates the subscriber with the termination address as a forward-to number or with a particular voice mailbox on a voice message system. Voice mail box passwor
32、ds are registered separately with the voice message system. Deregistration CFNA may be deregistered upon deactivation (at the home service provider option). If the deregistration is to be separate from deactivation, the deregistration feature code must be distinct from the corresponding deactivation
33、 feature code. CFNA may be deregistered by a Variable Registration authorized subscriber specifying the CFNA deregistration feature code, as in: *FC0 + SEND . CFNA shall be deregistered upon deauthorization. Activation If the subscriber is authorized for Permanent Activation, CFNA shall be activated
34、 upon authorization. CFNA may be activated upon authorization or registration for Demand Activation authorized subscribers. CFNA may be activated upon registration for Variable Registration authorized subscribers. A previously registered CFNA forward-to number may be activated by a Demand Activation
35、 authorized subscriber specifying a CFNA activation feature code, as in: *FC + SEND . If the activation is accepted, the system shall indicate success with feature confirmation treatment. The serving system may provide a courtesy call to the forward-to number shortly after this feature is activated

37、eactivation CFNA may be deactivated by a Demand Activation authorized subscriber specifying the CFNA deactivation feature code, as in: *FC0 + SEND . If the deactivation is accepted, the system shall indicate success with feature confirmation treatment. CFNA shall be deactivated upon deauthorization
38、or deregistration. Invocation The feature treatment is invoked when there is an incoming call that is not answered or cannot be answered (for any reason) and CFNA is active. Reasons for forwarding a call with CFNA include: a. Do Not Disturb active, etc. b. MS location is not known. c. MS reported in
39、active. d. Roaming with Call Delivery deactive. e. No MS response to a page request. f. No MS or subscriber response to alerting. g. No subscriber response to Call Waiting notification. Normal Operation with Successful Outcome When CFNA is active, incoming calls for the subscriber shall be forwarded
40、 to the forward-to number when the subscriber is inaccessible. Call Detail Record The system should record call detail information for the following: a. CFNA registration activities and events. b. CFNA deregistration activities and events. c. CFNA activation activities and events. d. CFNA deactivati

Since the validity of the forward-to number is in doubt, CFNA may be deregistered and deactivated. Courtesy calls need not be answered to verify the validity of the forwar

Invocation If the forwarded call cannot be routed to the forwarded-to destination, then the call should be given the appropriate treatment, s

Precautions should be taken to preclude undesirable looping of forwarded numbers within the MSC or between the MSC and other switching centers.
