In the event of a conflict between the text of this spec

18、ification and the references cited herein, the text of this specification shall take precedence. I 3.3 Reliability. Ihe specified mean-time-between-failure shall be 75 hours when tested as specified in 4.5.2.5. 3 e REQUIREMENTS 3.3.1 Maintainability. The availability shall be not less than 95 percen

19、t l and the maintenance ratio shall be not greater than 0.12. 3.1 Description. The shop equipment shall conform to TA13219E4100 and be mounted on a 1-1/2-ton military M104 of M105 series trailer modified with a hydraulic tailgate as indicated in TA13219E4100, and shall include equipment- mounting de

20、vices as specified herein (equipment and trailer hereinafter called “shop“). The shop shall be fitted with all items specified in set components list as compiled from SC 3220-97-CL-E01 (see 6.7) and as specified herein. generator set will be loaned to the contractor by the Government for first artic

23、ocessing procedures, etc.) prepared by the contractor or obtained from a vendor to support fabrication and manufacture of the production item shall be made available, upon request, for inspection by the contracting officer or his designated representative. 3.2 First article. Unless otherwise specifi

24、ed the contractor shall furnish one shop for examination and testing within the time frame specified (see 6.2) to prove prior to starting production that his shops comply with the require- ments of this specification. section 4; and, unless otherwise specified herein, all examinations and tests shal

25、l be conducted by the contractor subject to surveillance and approval by the Government (see 6.3). When specified (see 6.21, the Government will conduct any or all of the first article examination and tests, as specified (see 6.2). Examination and tests shall be as specified in 3.4 Material. Materia

26、l shall be as specified herein and on the drawings. Material not specified shall meet the following. 3.4.1 Material deterioration and control. The shop shall be fabricated from compatible materials, inherently corrosion resistant or treated to be resistant to the various forms of corrosion and deter

27、ioration that may be encountered in any of the applicable storage and operating environment to which the shop may be exposed 4 I . 28、efined in MIL-STD-889 shall be electrically insulated from one another to minimize or prevent galvanic corrosion. primer conforming to MIL-P-23377, or corrosion inhibiting sealant conforming to MIL-S-81733 or chromate tape conforming to MIL-G-20241. Insulation may be provided by a barrier such as a

29、coat of epoxy 3.4.1.2 Identification of materials and finishes. The contractor shall identify the specific material, material finish or treatment for use with components or sub-components, and shall make information available, upon request, to the contracting officer or designated representative. 3.

30、5 Roadability. When loaded with the tools and equipment specified herein, the shop shall withstand towing on paved roads, unimproved roads, and cross-country trails. The towing shall include abrupt stops and sharp turns. During or following the towing, there shall be no damage to or displacement of

31、any component, accessory part, or tool installed in or on the shop; and there shall be no evidence of defective welded, bolted, or riveted connections on the shop. required by 4.5.2.5. The road mileage will be sufficient to satisfy the total test time as 3.6 Trailer modification. The Government-furn

32、ished 1-1/2-ton M104 or M105 series trailer (see 3.14) shall be modified by removing existing tailgate and brackets, installing a tailgate, toolboxes, saw holddowns and slides for saw in accordance with TA13219E4100. The rear support legs shall be installed as shown on Drawing F8681929 except that t

33、wo legs shall be installed, one at each rear corner 3.7 Operation. The radial saw shall be connected to the generator set so that the saw may be operated throughout the range of the tailgate positions. The tool installation shall be within the design limits of the tailgate and support legs. When ope

34、rated as specified in 4.5.2.3 and 4.5.2.4, the saw dust curtain installation shall prevent discharge of sawdust into the trailer, and there shall be no evidence of permanent deformation or damage. 3.8 Lubrication. means for lubricating. All surfaces requiring lubrication shall be provided with a 3.9

35、 Identification marking. The shop shall be identified in accordance with M IL-STD-13 O 3.10 Treatment and painting. The portions of the shop which have been fabricated by the contractor or reworked shall be cleaned, treated, and painted in accordance with MIL-T-704, type A. 3.11 Safety. All rotating

36、 or reciprocating parts and other parts subject to high operational temperatures that are of such a nature or are so located as to be a hazard to operating personnel, shall be guarded or insulated to the extent necessary to eliminate the hazard. (Aural nondetectability and impulse noise do not apply). The precautions of MIL-STD-1474 (see 6.12) shall be provided if the sound level exceed

40、s 85dB(A) when tested in accordance with 4.5.2.6.2. supplied with the shop. Hazard signs, when required, shall state “CAUTION, HEARING PROTECTION REQUIRED WITHIN FEET“, giving the safe distance. Sign posting and lettering shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-1474, 4.3. Hearing protectors shall not be

The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to presc

47、ribed requirements. o 4.1.1 Component and material inspection. The contractor is responsible for insuring that components and materials used are manufactured, examined, and tested in accordance with referenced specifications and standards. 4.1.2 Disassembly inspection. Failure of any test by the fir

48、st article model shall be cause for disassembly, in the presence of a Government representative, of the first article model to the extent necessary to determine the cause of the failure. Each disassembled part shall be examined in detail for compliance with the specification and referenced drawings

49、in regard to materials, dimensions, tolerances and workmanship. Parts not complying with such requirements shall be rejected. 4.2 Classification of inspections. Inspections shall be classified as follows : a. b. C. Inspection comparison (see 4.6). d. First article inspection (see 4.3). Quality conformance inspection (see 4.4).
