As a result of a Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) action, standards for all military communications are now being publ

6、ished in a MIL-STD-188 series of docunients. The MIL-STD-188 series i s now subdi vi ded into a MIL-STD-188-1 O0 series covering common standards for tactical and 1 ong-haul communicatfons, a MIL-STD-188-200 series covering standards for tactical communications only, and a MIL-STD-188-300 series cov

7、ering standards for 1 onq-haul communications only. 34、s of measurement for selected (MIL-STD) 188 series of documents. electrica -5 parameter requirements that are specified in the mil i tary standard The methods of measurement in this document shall be the means of ensuring uniform measurement results in all cases where the performance of long-haul an

35、d tactical comunicati ons systems and subsystems i s verified by these methods of measurement. These methods represent existing techniques selected on the basis of such factors as accuracy and current mi 1 i tary and commerci al practices and procedures. imp1 ied restrictions on techno1 ogical advan

36、ces and to avoid revisions of the standard as new generations of measuring equipment are developed. 1.2 A licabilit . This document shall be applied whenever performance long-haul and tactical communications systems and subsystems. These methods of measurement shall be used to determine compliance w

37、ith stated parameter values contained i n approved and pub1 i shed documents of the MIL-STD-188 series. The methods are intended to be applied, regardless of the type or technology of the measuring equipment used, or the description of the unit under test (UUT) . Each method is presented as a basic

38、principle of measurement, rather than a detailed procedure, for a particular parameter or set of parameters in the existing MIL-STD-188 series documents. measures of system performance, unless specified otherwise.
