Scope*1.1 This specification establishes cop

3、per-tin alloy (phosphorbronze), copper-tin-lead alloy (leaded phosphor bronze), andcopper-tin-lead-zinc alloy (bearing bronze), plate, sheet, strip,and rolled bar. The phosphor bronzes commonly are used fordeep drawing into bellows and stamping and forming intospring devices and into terminals and c

4、onnectors for electricalapparatus because they combine high strength with highelongation. The leaded phosphor bronzes are used wherestrength, corrosion resistance, and machinability are required.The bearing bronze is used in bushings, bearings, and load-bearing thrust washers. Materials and Manufacture6.1 Materials:6.1.1 The material of manufacture shall be a cast bar, cake,slab, or Copper Alloy UNS No. C51000, C51100, C51900,C52100, C52400, C53400, or C54400 as specified in theordering information.6.1.2 In the event heat identification or traceability isrequired, the

22、 purchaser shall specify the details desired.NOTE 2Because of the discontinuous nature of the processing ofcastings into wrought products, it is not always practical to identify aspecific casting analysis with a specific quantity of finished material.6.2 Manufacture:6.2.1 The product shall be manufa

23、ctured by such hot work-ing, cold working, and annealing processes as to produce auniform wrought structure in the finished product.6.2.2 The product shall be hot or cold worked to the finishedsize and subsequently annealed, when required, to meet thetemper properties specified.6.2.3 EdgesSlit edges

24、 shall be furnished unless otherwisespecified in the contract or purchaser order.7. Chemical Composition7.1 The materials shall conform to the chemical composi-tional requirements specified in Table 1 for the copper alloyUNS No. designation specified in the order.7.2 These composition limits do not

25、preclude the presenceof other elements. Limits for unnamed elements may beestablished and analysis required by agreement between manu-facturer or supplier and purchaser.7.3 Copper, specified as the “remainder,” may be taken asthe difference between the sum of all the elements analyzedand 100 %. When

26、 all the elements in Table 1 are analyzed, thesum of results for each alloy shall be 99.5 % min.8. Temper8.1 M20 (as Hot-Rolled Material)The standard temper ofsheet and plate produced by hot rolling and is as designated inTable 2.8.2 H (Rolled Material)The standard tempers of rolledmaterial are as d
