Scope1.1 This specification covers UNS N08367 and UNSN08926 welded pipe for general corrosion applications. (Al-though no restrictions

3、are placed on the sizes of pipe that maybe furnished under this specification, commercial practice iscommonly limited to sizes not less than 8 in. nominal diam-eter.)1.2 Six classes of pipe are covered as follows:1.2.1 Class 1 pipe shall be double welded by processesemploying filler metal in all pas

4、ses and shall be completelyradiographed.1.2.2 Class 2 pipe shall be double welded by processesemploying filler metal in all passes. No radiography is re-quired.1.2.3 Class 3 pipe shall be double welded by processesemploying filler metal in all passes except the inside root weldmay be made without th

5、e addition of filler metal. Welds are tobe completely radiographed.1.2.4 Class 4 pipe shall be double welded by processesemploying filler metal in all passes except the inside root weldmay be made without the addition of filler metal. No radiog-raphy is required.1.2.5 Class 5 pipe shall be single we

6、lded by processesemploying filler metal in all passes except that the passexposed to the inside pipe surface may be made without theaddition of filler metal. Welds are to be completely radio-graphed.1.2.6 Class 6 pipe shall be single welded by processesemploying filler metal in all passes except tha

7、t the passexposed to the inside pipe surface may be made without theaddition of filler metal. No radiography is required.1.3 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas the standard. Terminology3.1 Terms defined in Terminology B 899 shall apply unlessotherwise defined in this standard.4. Ordering Information4.1 It is the responsibility of the purchaser to sp

18、ecify allrequirements that are necessary for material ordered under thisspecification. Examples of such requirements include, but arenot limited to, the following:4.1.1 Quantity (feet or number of lengths),4.1.2 Class (see 1.2),4.1.3 Size (outside diameter and minimum wall thickness),4.1.4 Length (s

19、pecific or random),4.1.5 ASTM specification number,4.1.6 Authorization for repair of plate defects by weldingwithout prior approval if such is intended (see 9.4),4.1.7 Circumferential weld permissibility (see 8.3.2), and4.1.8 Supplementary requirements.5. Materials and Manufacture5.1 MaterialsThe st

20、arting material shall conform to therequirements of Specification B 688 for UNS N08367 andSpecification B 625 for UNS N08926.5.2 Manufacture:5.2.1 The joints shall be double or single welded, fullpenetration welds made in accordance with ASME Boiler andPressure Vessel Code, Section IX.5.2.2 The weld

21、s shall be made either manually or automati-cally by an electric process involving the deposition of fillermetal according to the class specified.5.2.3 The weld surface on either side of the weld shall beflush with the base plate or shall have a reasonably uniformcrown, not to exceed18 in. (3.2 mm).

22、 Any weld reinforcementmay be removed at the manufacturers option or by agreementbetween the manufacturer and purchaser. The contour of thereinforcement shall be reasonably smooth and free of irregu-larities. The deposited metal shall be fused uniformly into theplate surface. No concavity of contour

23、 is permitted unless theresulting thickness of weld metal is equal to or greater than theminimum thickness of the adjacent base metal.5.2.4 Weld defects shall be repaired by removal to soundmetal and rewelding. Subsequent heat treatment and inspectionshall be as required on the original welds.5.3 He

24、at TreatmentThe recommended heat treatmentshall consist of heating to a minimum temperature of 2025Ffor UNS N08367 and 2012F for UNS N08926 followed byquenching in water or rapidly cooling by other means.6. Chemical Composition6.1 The chemical composition of the pipe shall conform tothe requirements

25、 in Table 1 of Specification B 688 for UNSN08367 and Table 1 of Specification B 625 for UNS N08926.6.2 The alloy content of the deposited weld metal shallconform to that required for the plate or the welding electrodesas shown in Specification AWS A5.11 for ENiCrMo-3,ENiCrMo-4, and ENiCrMo-10 or AWS

26、 A5.14 for ERNiCrMo-10, ERNiCrMo-3, and ERNiCrMo-4.6.3 If product analysis is made of the plate or weld metal bythe purchaser, the chemical composition thus determined shallconform to the requirements specified in 6.1 and 6.2 subject tothe permissible tolerances in Specification B 880.7. Mechanical

27、Properties and Other Requirements7.1 Mechanical Properties:7.1.1 The mechanical properties of the plate shall be inaccordance with Table 1. Tension tests made by the platemanufacturer shall qualify the plate material.7.1.2 Transverse tension tests taken across the welded jointshall have the same min

28、imum ultimate tensile strength as thespecified minimum ultimate tensile strength of the plate.7.2 Transverse Guided Weld Bend Test RequirementsBends made in accordance with Fig. 1 shall be acceptable if nocracks or other imperfections exceeding18 in. (3.2 mm) in anydirection are present in the weld

29、metal or between the weld andthe pipe metal after bending. Cracks that originate along theedges of the specimen during testing, and that are less than14in. (6.3 mm) measured in any direction, shall not be consid-ered.7.3 Pressure TestAny pipe that shows leaks during thepressure test conducted in acc

30、ordance with 13.4 shall berejected, but any leaking areas may be cut out and the piperetested as above.7.4 Radiographic ExaminationFor Classes 1, 3, and 5pipe, radiographic examination shall be in accordance with therequirements of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code,Section VIII, latest editio

31、n, Paragraph UW-51.8. 34、ing a 10-ft (3-m) straight-edge placed so that both ends are in contact with the pipe, thecamber shall not be more than18 in. (3.17 mm).8.2 ThicknessThe minimum wall thickness at any point inthe pipe shall not be more than 0.01 in. (0.25 mm) under thenominal thickness.8.3 Lengths:8.3.1 The lengths r

35、equired shall be specified in the orders.8.3.2 Circumferentially welded joints of the same quality asthe longitudinal joints shall be permitted by agreement betweenthe manufacturer and the purchaser.9. Workmanship, Finish, and Appearance9.1 Pipe shall be furnished with smooth ends, free of burrs.9.2

36、 The finished pipe shall be free of injurious defects andshall have a workmanlike finish.9.3 Repair of Plate Defects by Machining or GrindingPipe showing moderate slivers may be machined or groundinside or outside to a depth that shall ensure the removal of allincluded scale and slivers, provided th

37、e wall thickness is notreduced below the specified minimum wall thickness. Machin-ing or grinding shall follow inspection of the pipe as rolled andshall be followed by supplementary visual inspection.9.4 Repair of Plate Defects by WeldingRepair of injuriousdefects shall be permitted only with the ap

38、proval of thepurchaser. Defects shall be thoroughly chipped out beforewelding. The repairs shall be radiographed and if the pipe itselfhas already been heat treated, it shall then be heat treated againexcept in the case of small welds that, in the estimation of thepurchasers inspector, do not requir

39、e heat treatment. Eachlength of pipe repaired in this manner shall be hydrostaticallytested after being repaired.9.5 The pipe shall be sandblasted or pickled to remove allscale and then passivated.10. Sampling10.1 Lots for Chemical Analysis and Mechanical Testing:10.1.1 Heat AnalysisA lot shall cons

40、ist of one heat.10.1.2 Mechanical TestingA lot shall consist of the ma-terial of the same nominal size from one heat and condition.10.2 Sampling for Chemical Analysis:10.2.1 A representative sample shall be taken by the platemanufacturer during pouring or subsequent processing.10.2.2 Product analysi

41、s, if performed, shall be wholly theresponsibility of the purchaser.10.3 Sampling for Mechanical PropertiesTransverse ten-sion and bend test specimens shall be cut after final heattreatment from the end of the finished pipe or from a test plateof the same material as the pipe that is attached to the

42、 end ofthe cylinder and welded as a prolongation of the longitudinalpipe seam.11. 44、 specified inSection 7, retests shall be made on double the original numberfrom the same lot, each of which shall conform to therequirements specified.11.5.2 If the results of the mechanical tests of any lot do notconform to the requirements specified, such lot may bereworked and resubmitted. The sa

45、me number of tests asoriginally specified shall be required on reworked and resub-mitted pipe.12. Specimen Preparation12.1 The test specimens required by this specification shallconform to those described in Test Methods and DefinitionsA 370.12.2 The transverse tension and bend test specimens shallb

46、e flattened cold before final machining to size if flattening isrequired.12.3 Tension and bend test specimens shall be the fullthickness of the material as rolled and shall be machined to theform and dimensions shown in Fig. 2, Fig. 3, and Fig. 4.12.4 If any test specimen shows flaws or defective ma

47、chin-ing, it may be discarded and another specimen substituted.13. Test Methods13.1 The chemical composition and mechanical propertiesof the material as enumerated in this specification shall bedetermined, in case of disagreement, in accordance with thefollowing ASTM methods:13.1.1 Chemical Analysis

48、Methods E38and Test MethodsE 354. Iron shall be determined arithmetically by difference.Methods E38is to be used only for elements not covered byTest Methods E 354. Use Test Methods E 1019 for Nitrogen.13.1.2 Tension TestTest Methods E8.13.2 For the purposes of determining compliance with thelimits
