1、Designation: C1370 00 (Reapproved 2012)Standard Test Method forDetermining Chemical Resistance of Aggregates for Use inChemical-Resistant Sulfur Polymer Cement Concrete andOther Chemical-Resistant Polymer Concretes1This standard is issued under the fixed designation C1370; the number immediately fol
2、lowing the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or, in the case of revision, the year of last revision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope1.1 This test metho
3、d covers the determination of the effectsof selected environments on aggregates for use in manufactur-ing sulfur polymer cement concrete (SC) and other chemical-resistant polymer concretes.1.2 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas standard. The values given in parentheses are ma

Significance and Use4.1 The results obtained by this test method should serve asa guide in, but not as the sole basis for, selection of aggregatesfor use in sulfur polymer cement concrete and other chemical-resistant polymer concretes for a particular application. Noattempt has been made to i
8、ncorporate in the test method all thevarious factors that may affect the performance of a materialwhen subjected to actual service.4.2 This test method assists in determining whether aggre-gates are susceptible to attack by solutions in the environmentof intended use.4.3 This is not a test for perme
9、ability and results are not tobe interpreted as a measurement of, or indication of, perme-ability of the material tested.5. Apparatus5.1 Weighing Equipment, shall be capable of weighingmaterials or specimens to 60.3 % accuracy. The weighingequipment shall meet the National Institute of Standards and
10、Technology requirements for sensitivity and tolerances.NOTE 1In general, small quantities should not be weighed on largecapacity scales. In many applications, the smallest quantity weighed on ascale should be greater than about 10 % of the maximum capacity of thescale; however, this will vary with t
11、he performance characteristics of thescale and the required accuracy of the determination. Acceptable scalesused for weighing concrete materials preferably should weigh accuratelyto about 0.1 % of total capacity and the foregoing precaution is applicable. However, certain analytical and precision bal
12、ances are exceptions to thisrule and should weigh accurately to 0.001 %. Particular care must beexercised in measuring small quantities of material by determining thedifference between two much larger weights.5.2 Drying oven of sufficient size to accommodate theaggregate sample and capable of holdin

Place eachaggregate specimen in a separate beaker and weigh the 200-gspecimen, beaker, and filter paper
18、.7.2 For each aggregate specimen and beaker, add 400 mL ofthe solution from the environment in which the polymerconcrete will be placed. As an alternative, prepare and add 400mL of 20 wt. % solution of an appropriate media (HCl, H2SO4,etc.) to each aggregate specimen and beaker. Cover the beakerwith

Heat the aggregatespecimen and beaker to 140 6 4F (60 6 2C) and hold for 24h.7.3 Filter specimen and rinse residue on filter paper thor-oughly with distilled water to remove all of the solution.7.4 Dry residue and filter paper to constant weight in thebeaker wi
