A space must be used as aseparator between the specificati
33、on number and the typedesignation. No separators are needed between type, class, andgrade. When special notes are to be included, such informationshould be preceded by a comma. Special tolerances must benoted at the time of order and are inserted after the grade inparenthesis and preceded by a comma
34、.5. Ordering Information5.1 All shapes covered by this specification shall be orderedusing the proper callout designation (see 4.6).6. Physical Property Requirements6.1 The physical property values listed within this specifi-cations tables are to be considered minimum specificationvalues. Any requir
35、ement for specific test data for a givenproduction lot must be specified at the time of order. Physicalproperties for products not yet included in Table 1 are specifiedusing Classification D 4000 for extruded or compression-molded products.6.2 Melting PointThe melting point of all types of rod andhe
36、avy-walled tubing shall be 327 6 10C when tested inaccordance with 12.7.7. Dimensions, Mass, and Permissible Variations7.1 The dimensions and tolerances of heavy-walled tubingshall be in accordance with Table 3. Measurements shall bemade in accordance with Method A of Test Methods D 374.7.2 For rod
37、and heavy-walled tubing, center-less-grind theoutside diameter to meet the tolerance given in Table 3.7.2.1 EccentricityThe eccentricity of the heavy-walledtubing, when measured as one-half of the difference betweenthe maximum and minimum wall thickness at either end of thetube, shall not exceed 10
38、% of the nominal wall thickness. Thenominal wall thickness is one-half the difference between thenominal outside diameter and the nominal inside diameter.7.3 As indicated in Table 1, when tested in accordance with12.5, products must have maximum change in a samplediameter of 0.5 % or a maximum chang

Workmanship, Finish and Appearance8.1 ColorClass 1 shall be white to translucent withoccasional spots. Class 2 typically are white to light gray or
47、light brown. For Class 3, occasional small gray, brown, orblack spots shall not be considered cause for rejection.8.2 FinishThe rod or heavy-walled tubing shall be freefrom surface blisters, cracks, wrinkles, and other surfacedefects that might impair it for general use.8.3 Internal DefectsClasses C
48、 and D either shall be freeof all macroscopic voids, cracks, and foreign inclusions, or thelocation of such defects shall be marked or identified clearly.The examination for internal defects shall be made in accor-dance with Guide E94.9. Sampling9.1 Sampling shall be statistically adequate to satisf
49、y therequirements of this specification.10. Number of Tests10.1 Routine lot inspection shall consist of all the criteriaspecified in the applicable product tables.10.2 The criteria listed in these product tables and defini-tions are sufficient to establish conformity of the sheet, plate,rod, or tubular bars to this specification. When the number oftest specimens is not stated in the test method, make a singledetermination. If more than single determinations and separateportions of the same sample are made
