25、support/hangersystemshallthereforebedesignedtoensurea securesupportfortheductworksystem. Particularattentionshallbegiventothesupportofindividualcomponentsincludedinductworksystems.Ductwork componentswillgenerallybeinaccordancewithEN1505,EN1506,ENV12097,prEN1507andprEN12237. Thedesignershallalsotakea
26、ccountofinsulationloads,imposedloads(cleaningandmaintenance),vibration isolationandcorrosionresistance,togetherwithnecessarysafetyfactors. 5 Supportattachmenttobuildingstructure Therequirementsinthisstandardarespecifiedonthebasisthatthebuildinghasbeendesignedtoaccepttheload imposedbymechanicalandair
27、distributionservicesandsystems.Theselectedmethodofattachmenttothe structureshallensurethefollowing: a) compatibilitywiththebuildingmaterialatthefixingpoint; b) adefinedpermissibleload;EN12236:2002(E) 6 c) ananticorrosioncharacteristicappropriatetotheinstallationenvironment. 6 Determinationofload Due
28、tothewidevarietyofconstructionmethodsusedinbothmanufacturingofsheetmetalairductsandsimilarly thevarietyofsupportingmethodsineachparticularbuilding,itisnotpracticaltoofferafixedmethodofcalculating loads. Deflectionoftheductshallnotsignificantlyaffecttheairflowconditionsandconsiderationshallbegiventot
29、he loadingconditionsincludingthefollowing: a) theweighttablesforvarioussizesofductprovidedbytheductmanufacturer; b) theweightoftheinsulationmaterial,ifany,appliedtotheductwork,includingtheweightofanysurface cladding; c) theweightofanycomponentsincludedintheductworkandnotindependentlysuspended,e.g.ac
30、oustic treatment,silencers,dampersetc.; d) theweightofthehangerstructure; e) theadditionalweightofapersonorpersonswhomaygainaccesstotheductworkforpurposeofcleaningor maintenance; f) thepossibilitythatexternalloads,e.g.ladders,willbeimposedforwhichaseparateloadingcalculationis required; g) theoperati
31、ngtemperatureoftheductsystem,whereapplicable. Takingaccountofthefactorsa)tog),theavailabilityofsuitablefixingpointsshallbeestablishedandaseparate calculationshallbemade,wherenecessary,toestablishtheloadoneachfixing. 7 Supportsforductwork 7.1 Attachmenttostructure Thefixingselectedtoprovidetheattachm
32、enttothestructureshallhaveasafetyfactorofatleastthreeinrespect tothecalculatedloadimposedbythesupportandductsections. 7.2Support construction Forductsthesupportcancompriseverticaland/orhorizontalcomponents. Theverticalcomponent(s)shallbedesignedwithasafetyfactorofatleast1,5relatedtotheyieldstrengtho
33、fthe materialofthesupportinrespectoftheloadimposedbytheducttobesupported,includingadditionalloadsdue to,forexample,insulation,claddingorfutureaccessrequirements. Thehorizontalcomponentsshallbecapableofsupportingthetotalcalculatedloadimposedbytheductandany otherloads(e.g.manloading)ontheduct.Componen
34、tsshallbedesignedtoensurethatthedeflectionbetween theconnectionstotheverticalcomponentsandanypartofthehorizontalcomponentshallnotexceed0,4%ofthe distancebetweentheverticalfixings. Theconnectionbetweentheverticalandhorizontalcomponents(s)shallalsobedesignedwithasafetyfactorof1,5 inrelationtotheyields
35、trengthofthematerialofthesupport,andshallnotrelyonfrictiondevices. Whereapplicable,bracketsshallbedesignedtosupporttheloadduetotheductworkandinsulationandany benefitderivedfromhorizontalductconnectionsorsupportsshallbeexcludedfromthecalculations.EN12236:2002(E) 7 8 Connectionbetweenductandsupport It
36、isusuallynotrequiredtofastensupportmemberstoductswhereductsareinstalledhorizontally,andare supportedonasupportbearer. Wheretheductissupportedbybracketsthatarefixeddirectlytotheductwall,oraductjoint,thefixingsusedthe designofthefixingsusedshallincludethesamesafetyfactorsasthesupportstructure. 9 Spaci
37、ngofductsupports Spacingrequirementsshallbesuchastotakeaccountofthestrengthofthesupports,thestrengthoftheductwork assemblyandtheneedtoensurethatdeflectionoftheductworkshallnotaffecttheleakage,aerodynamic propertiesandthephysicalintegrityoftheductworksystem. Whereitemsofequipment,e.g.fans,heaters,mix
38、ingboxes,etc.,arelikelytoberemovedorreplaced,theyshall besupportedindependentlyoftheductwork.
