20、protectionagainstambientconditionsofwind,waterandcold,butitshouldalsoprovidesomeprotectionfrominjury intheeventofanaccident.Itisintendednottohinderariderfromcontrollinghismachine.Itshouldbeofan acceptableappearancetothewearer. ThisEuropeanStandardisprimarilyconcernedwiththeprotectionprovidedbyclothi

21、ngagainstinjuryinaccidents. Thehazardstowhichmotorcyclistsareexposedvarywidelydependingonthephysicalenvironmentsuchasthe natureoftheroadtrackormountainside,theclimaticenvironment,thetrafficenvironment,thespeedatwhichthe motorcycleisbeingriddenandtheskilloftherider.Thenumberofcombinationsofpossibleha

22、zardsisverylarge. Totalclothingperformanceagainsteveryidentifiedhazardcouldberequiredforeachcombination.Thiswouldbe impracticablycomplicated.Thereforethisstandardcontainstherequirementsforsinglecharacteristicsofsingle itemsofclothingorsimplecombinationsofgarments. Thisstandardispartofaseriesofstanda

23、rdsspecifyingrequirementsforparticularitemsofclothingorparticular hazards.FurtherPartswillbeissuedinduecourse. 1Scope ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiesatestmethodforassessmentofprotectionefficiencyofprofessionalmotorcycle ridersjackets,trousersandonepieceanddividedsuitswhichareintendedtoprotectthewearer

29、ngatafixedspeedoverarigidhorizontal surface.Thetimeforthespecimentofullyabradeismeasuredbydetectingthedifferenceintimebetweenthe breakingoftwoelectricalwires,onepassingovertheouterandoneovertheinnersurfaceofthespecimen. 4.2Apparatus 4.2.1 Apparatusconformingtothefollowingcharacteristics: Belt speed

32、toprunofthebeltpasses. e) Abeltcleaninganddustremovingsystem.Thefollowingisused: 1) Acylindricalbrush(6)200mmindiameter,drivenbyasecondmotor.Thepolypropylenebristlesofthe brushare0,2mmindiameterwithafreelengthof45mm;thereareapproximately200000bristlesina brush200mmlongwhichfitsthebeltsused.Thebrushi

33、srunsothatthebristlesjusttouchthebeltasit goesovertheroller.Thebristleshaveatipspeedthreetimesthatofthebeltandinthesamedirection.EN135952:2002(E) 6 2) Twodustextractionpoints,one(7)beforeandone(8)afterthebrush.Theseconsistoftubesdirected acrossthebeltandgrounddownsothataslitisformedfacingthebelt.The

34、tubesarepositionedvery closetobutnottouchingthebeltasitgoesovertheroller.Thefirstremovescoarsematerialandthe secondfinedustleftbythebrush.(Thefirsttubecanbereplacedbyahighflowwi deboreextraction). f) Arigidpendulum(9)withthesampleholder(12)mountedatitsend.Thependulumishorizontalduring abrasionandmay

35、beraisedtoadesiredheightandreleasedbyasuitablemechanism(10).Thependulum hasapivot(11)thatpermitsmovementonlyinaverticalplane.Thependulumpositioncanbeadjusted laterally so that 3tracks can be used on each belt. 36、veaforceof49Nmeasuredbelowthesample. g) ThesampleholderisconstructedofmetalwiththedimensionsinFigure2.Itconsistsofatopplate(14), sampleholder(15)andfaceplate75mmindiameter(16)whichforconvenienceareconnectedbyascrew threadcutontheoutsideofthebody. h) Thefaceplatehasacentralflatface40mmindiameter(17),
