Theacceleratingvoltageisoneofthesignificantparametersinelectronbeamwelding.Whenacceleratingthe electrons,thevoltageshouldbestableandreproduciblewithingivenshorttermandlongtermli

24、rmanddefinitionapplies, 3.1 acceleratingvoltage differenceinelectricalpotentialbetweenthecathodeandanodeofthebeamgeneratorintheelectrongun. 4Testarrangement 4.1General Thevoltagesusuallypresentduringelectronbeamweldingattheoutputofthehighvoltagegenerator,attheend ofthehighvoltagecableandinthebeamgen

25、eratorcannotbesafelymeasuredwithouttheuseofspecial equipment. Since,generally,onlythemanufacturersofweldingmachinesorhighvoltageunitshaveappropriateequipmentat theirdisposal,ithasprovedexpedienttomeasuretheacceleratingvoltageatthemanufacturersworks. NOTEAttentionshouldbepaidtoelectricalsafetylevelsd

26、uringtestingathighvoltagesandtheneedfor appropriatelytrained/qualifiedpersonneltocarryouttests. Apartfromthesesafetyaspects,thetestequipmentshallalsobecapableofmeasuringtheacceleratingvoltageover theentirerangeofbeamcurrentsetting,i.e.withtheweldingparameterssettoconformtoactualweldingconditions. 27、emainpurposeofthefollowingdescriptionsandillustrationsoftestarrangementsistoenableuniform highvoltagemeasurementsonelectronbeamweldingmachinestobemaderatherthantoprovidecompletecircuit diagrams. 4.2Testdevices Avoltagedividershallbeconnectedbetweenthehighvoltageunitandtheelectrongun.Examplesareshown
