Angle Tolerances - With the exception of any twilled weave item the warp and shoot (weft) wires shall be perpendicular to each other after mounting within a maximum deviation of 8 from the perpendicular based on the mean direction of wires over several meshes. 2Y sin O= - W.
22、 where: W is the nominal aperture size Y is the tolerance for average aperture size. Wire Diameter Tolerances - The wire diameters given in Table 1 apply to woven wire cloth mounted in a frame. They are preferred nominal sizes and are particularly recommended. The nominal sizes of the wire diameters
23、 specified may, however, depart from these values within a permissible range of f 15% of the nominal values given in Table 1, TEST METHODS Every aperture in the metal wire cloth in a test sieve shall be eligible for inspection for compliance with the requirements listed in par. 5.1, 5.2 and 5.3. Whe
24、n a sieve has 20 apertures or less, all apertures shall be measured. In other cases the examination shall proceed in stages from a survey of general condition, to a methodical scrutiny of individual apertures, and finally to measurement of aperture size for compliance with the tolerances. Aperture s
25、ize, as specified in test2, 3 and 4 below, shall be measured following accepted metrological practices. Test 1 - Examination of general condition of the wire cloth - For this purpose the sieve cloth shall be viewed against a uniformly illuminated background. If obvious deviations from par.5.1, 5.2 a
26、nd 5.3, for example weaving defects, creases, wrinkles, foreign matter in the cloth are found, the sieve is unacceptable. 34、7i.1650 0009943 359 Test 2 - Examination of apertures for tolerance X - The observer shall carefully and methodically examine the appearance of all the openings, in order to detect oversize apertures. Apertures whose width deviates by about 10% of the average value are apparent to the unaided eye of
35、 a skilled observer. By this method, known as the “handicap method“, it is probable that all oversize apertures exceeding the average value by about 10% or more will be detected. At the same time it is easily possible to detect sequences of large apertures, and local irregularities in the weaving, a
36、ppearing as distortions of the apertures. If one aperture is found to be oversize by more than the maximum permissible deviation X, the sieve is unacceptable. Test 3 - Assessment of apertures exceeding the intermediate limit of “nominal size + Z“ - Those “nominal + Z“ and “nominal + X“ (see par. 5.1
37、) shall be counted or their proportion of the total number of apertures determined from representative sample regions. If there are more than is permitted, the sieve is unacceptable. Test 4 - Measurement of average size of aperture and average dlameter of wire - After a sieve has been found acceptab
38、le by the above tests, a measurement of the average size of aperture and diameter of wire shall be made on sample regions. These average values shall lie within the prescribed limits given in Table 1. The average sizes shall be measured over at least 10 apertures, if available, in each direction in
39、each of at least two positions on the cloth. If the results from the two fields fall in different tolerance bands or if they contradict the information from Table 1, the average sizes at more positions on the cloth shall be checked. 40、ICATION Each sieve shall bear a permanent label marked with the following information: Canadian metric sieve series Standard number: CAN/CGSB-8.2-M88 Standard sieve designation Sieve aperture Identification number or mark Manufacturer or distributors name. 45、 des ouvertures et du diamtre moyen du fil - Lorsquun tamis a satisfait aux vrifications prcdentes, la dimension moyenne des ouvertures et du diamtre moyen du fil doit tre releve en diffrents endroits. Les valeurs moyennes doivent se trouver a lintrieur des limites prescrites au tableau 1. Les dimen
46、sions moyennes doivent tre prises sur au moins 10 ouvertures dans chaque direction, si un tel nombre est disponible, a deux emplacements au moins sur la toile. Si les rsultats obtenus dans les deux domaines se situent dans des zones de tolrance diffrentes ou, sils ne sont pas conformes aux indicatio
47、ns donnes au tableau 1, il sera ncessaire de vrifier les dimensions moyennes a dautres emplacements sur la toile.
