3、l properties of tested, long-link round steel chains that are not cali- brated. Such chains are not suitable for use with lifting appliances as defined in DIN 15003. Particular attention should be paid to the manufacturers symbol or the test stamp, so as to prevent these chains from being mistaken f

7、ements 6.1 Dimensions Chain dimensions shall lie within the limit deviations speci- fied in table 1. 6.2 Heat treatment Chains shall be heat treated and shall comply with the safety requirements specified in DIN 685 Part 2. 6.3 Mechanical properties Chains shall comply with the values fortest force
8、and break- ing force specified in table 2. The elongation at fracture shall be not less than 25%. 7 In-process control The requirements specified in DIN 685 Part 3 shall apply for in-process control. 8 Acceptance testing Acceptance testing, which shall be the subject of agree- ment, is to include ad
9、imensional check and a tensile test as described in DIN 685 Part 3. The heat treatment condition may be verified on the basis of a longitudinal microsection of the material (crystalline structure) in the weld zone. In the case of blank chains or those provided with corrosion protection, the values s

Amendments The following amendments have been made to the September 1976 edition. a) The form of the standard has been brought into line with other chain standard
15、s. b) Closer tolerances on nominal size and pitch have been specified. c) Values specified for width have been amended. d) A minimum value of elongation at fracture (25%) has been included. 16、have been brought into line with other stand- ards on round steel chains. Likewise, the values given for pitch have not been changed, but the tolerances have been reduced from about 15% to about I396 of the nominal size. The values specified forwidth have been changed. In the previous edition of thi
17、s standard, only the outside width was specified, with limit deviations of about f5%, which led to practical problems, especially with regard to attachment of the chains to equipment.
