This standard has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 183 “Waste management” (Secretariat: DIN, Germany), Working Group WG 2 “Waste collection vehicles and their associated lifting devices” (lead-management: AFNOR, France). The responsible German body involved in its prep
6、aration was the Normenausschuss Kommunale Technik (Municipal Services Standards Committee), Working Committee NA 051-03-01 AA Abfallentsorgung; Fahrzeuge und Gerte (Spiegelgremium fr CEN/TC 183/WG 2). This standard contains specifications meeting the essential requirements set out in Annex I of the
7、“Machinery Directive”, Directive 98/37/EC, and the “revised Machinery Directive”, Directive 2006/42/EC, and which apply to lifting devices for refuse collection vehicles that are either first placed on the market or commissioned within the EEA. This standard serves to facilitate proof of compliance
8、with the essential requirements of the directives.
