This commercial item description (CID) covers two classes and two types of sulfuric acid, Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) Registry Number 7664-93-9, for use in galvanizing and plating ferrous metals and for general pu
4、rpose. Technical grade sulfuric acid is not intended for use as a reagent grade chemical, a food grade chemical, or an electrolyte. 2. CLASSIFICATION. Sulfuric acid, technical, shall be of the following types and classes, as specified (see 7.3(b): 2.1 Type I. Diluted minimum 93.0 percent sulfuric ac

Items shall be labeled, packed, and marked in accordance with 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Parts 100 to 199. 4.2 Recovered materials. The contractor is encouraged to use r
10、ecovered materials to the maximum extent practicable, in accordance with paragraph 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). 4.3 Material safety data sheet (MSDS). A MSDS shall be furnished in accordance with FED-STD-313, “Material Safety Data, Transportation Data and Disposal Data for Haz
11、ardous Materials Furnished to Government Activities“, and 29 CFR 1910.1200, “Hazard Communication“. 4.4 Hazard warning label. An Occupational Safety and Health Administration hazard warning label shall be furnished in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.1200. 5. PRODUCT CONFORMANCE PROVISIONS 5.1 Product co

The products provided shall meet the salient characteristics of this CID, conform to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices, and be the same product offered for sale in the commercial marketplace. The government reserves the right to require
13、 proof of such conformance. 5.2 Market acceptability. The products offered must have been previously sold either to the government or on the commercial market.
