SCOPE. This Commercial Item Description (CID) covers the
2、requirements kits that augment the Snow and Ice Mobility Kit (SIMK) beyond the forty three personnel it supports. It will provide one user with the equipment necessary to move over ice and snow and perform the same tasks as Soldiers who are issued the SIMK, (A-A-59872). 2. CLASSIFICATION. The Snow a
3、nd Ice Mobility Kit (SIMK) - Single Packs will be furnished as two kits. 2.1 Types: Type I Mobility Single Pack Type II Avalanche Single Pack 3. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS. Individual item dimensions shall be in accordance with drawings and specification requirements specified in the app
7、licable CID document (see Table II) unless item is a manufacturers part number/cage code then, in which manufacturers current specifications apply. 3.2 Color. Individual item colors shall be in accordance with applicable specifications (see Tables I and II). 3.3 End item testing. Individual item tes
8、t standards shall be in accordance with their related International Climbing and Mountaineering Federation Standards, where applicable. 3.4 Materials. Individual item materials shall be in accordance with applicable specifications (see Tables I and II). 3.5 Workmanship. The SIMK Single Packs shall c
9、onform to the quality of product established by this document. The occurrence of defects shall not exceed the contractors own quality assurance standards and the quality assurance standards defined in the technical data in the solicitation and/or contract. 3.6 Service life. The SIMK Single Packs sha
10、ll have no unexpected material or component failures during a continuous one-year cycle. The SIMK Single Packs shall have no unexpected material or component failures during periodic use over a five year period. 3.7 Labels/barcoding/instruction slip. If applicable, all labeling, barcoding and instru
11、ction slip requirements shall be as specified in the solicitation or contract (see 7.2). 3.7.1 Labels. Each Snow And Ice Mobility Kit, Single Pack shall have identification label Class 5 conforming to Type VI of MIL-DTL-32075. The color of the label shall be white. The following information shall be

15、 REQUIREMENTS. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials to the maximum extent practicable, in accordance with paragraph 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). 4.1 Recycled, recovered, or environmentally preferable materials. Recycled, recovered, or environmentally
16、 preferable materials should be used to the maximum extent possible, provided that the material meets or exceeds the operational and maintenance requirements and promotes economically advantageous life cycle costs. 5. PRODUCT CONFORMANCE PROVISIONS. 5.1 Product conformance. The products provided sha
17、ll meet the salient characteristics of this Commercial Item Description, conform to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices, and be the same product offered for sale in the commercial marketplace. The Government reserves the right to require proof of su
18、ch conformance. 5.2 End item examination. Each kit shall be examined for the following defects as listed in Table III: TABLE III.
