20、ective of the test is to assess whether a switch, while operating, will ignite an ambient explosive atmosphere prevalent in aircraft applications. This test is not necessary for switches which are enclosed in housings (casings) designed to prevent flame or explosion propagation. Test Method: Switche
21、s shall be tested in accordance with Method 109 of MIL-STD-202. Switches shall be operated at their maximum rated dc inductive current at the rated voltage. Criteria: The explosive mixture in the test chamber surrounding and external to the switch shall not explode whether or not an explosion occurs
22、 within the switch. Switches shall be electrically operable after the test.
