29、vingthesmallest diameterplacedonthemarket. Inordertoensurethatastabledetonationcanbeobtained,thelengthofthedonorcartridgeshallbeatleastfive timesitsdiameter. Thelengthoftheacceptorcartridgeshallbeatleastfivetimesitsdiameter( d).Thislengthshallbeincreasedas requiredifthemeasurementofvelocityofdetonat
30、ion,asdescribedinEN1363114,isusedtodetectproper detonationoftheacceptorcartridge. Whenthelengthofthesuppliedcartridge(s)islessthanthatrequiredtosatisfytheabove,achargeshallbe preparedbyjoiningtwo(ormore)cartridges.Inthecaseofroundendedcartridges,theendportionoftwo cartridgesshallbecutoffandthecartri
31、dgesjoinedbybuttingtogetherandtappingsecurely.EN1363111:2003(E) 6 7Procedure Separatethecartridgesbyagivengap.Thelength( D)ofthisgapismeasuredbetweentheendsofflatended cartridges(seeFigure1).Forcartridgeshavingroundedends,thefollowingmethodshallbeused:placetheends ofthecartridgesincontact,withoutpre
