SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a needled 100% polyester fiber landau top pad of random fiber arrangement with an acrylic pressure

3、sensitive adhesive on one side. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used as a padding for 1986 vinyl covered exterior roof applications. 3. REQUIREMENTS Material specification requirements are to be used for initial qualification of materials. 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREM

4、ENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.5 COMPOSITION Fiber: 0.7 tex polyester, 50 mm staple 50 +/- 5% 1.7 tex polyester, 50 mm staple 50 +/- 5% Binder: Thermoplastic Resin 100

5、 Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (PSA). Must meet requirements of ESB-M3G133-A. 3.6 CONSTRUCTION The fibers shall be arranged in a random manner, and extend from the top surface to the bottom surface so that delamination cannot occur at any plane within the thickness of the pad during handling and asse

6、mbly operations. 3.7 REMOVAL OF RELEASE LINER The separation of the release liner should not cause any lifting or removal of the PSA film from the fiber pad. In addition, the cohesive strength of the fiber pad should not be affected so that it becomes unfunctionable. 3.8 BINDER CONTENT, min 45% of t

7、he total weight of the pad The binder shall consist of a thermoplastic resin or a polyblend of resins compatible with the landau cover material. 9、A) 3.13 STAINING None Test Method: Typical light colored ESB-M2F143-B landau top material and nainsook test fabric (see FLTM AN 101-03 for source) shall be placed in intimate contact on separate 100 x 100 mm specimens of the polyester padding. Expose the assembly for 7 days at 82 +/- 2 C in a mechan

10、ical convection oven. 3.14 MILDEW RESISTANCE (FLTM BN 012-03) The material shall exhibit no less than 1 mm zone of inhibition, no evidence of pink staining, no visible evidence of mildew growth, and shall have no mildew odor after 7 days exposure in a humidity cabinet controlled to 100% relative hum

11、idity at 38 C. 3.15 LUMPINESS This padding shall contain no lumps, knots, etc. of either fiber or resin large enough to result in a lumpy or bumpy or otherwise unsightly appearance in the finished assembly. Such imperfections shall be cause for rejection of the material. 3.16 FLAMMABILITY, max 101 m

12、m/minute (FLTM BN 024-02, without the lot sampling plan) In addition, the test specimen shall not exhibit any flashing or sudden flaming on either surface in excess of the above maximum value. 3.17 PLANT PROCESSING FLAMMABILITY (FLTM BN 024-01) The material shall not support combustion after being e

13、xposed to a standard flame for 30 s at a distance of 25 mm from the tip of the needle. 5.
