SCOPE The materials defined by these specifications are injection molding grades of color pigmented thermoplastic polyolefins that have been modified to provide stiffness and dimensional stability. These materials are non-UV s
4、tabilized and must be painted to achieve acceptable weatherability. 2. APPLICATION The ESB-M4D492-A1 and A3 specifications were released originally for material used for bodyside claddings. The ESB-M4D492-A2 specification was released originally for material used for bodyside fairings. 3. REQUIREMEN

12、diameter) and the base (51 mm diameter) conform to FLTM BO 117-02. A 1.8144 kg weight will be used unless otherwise specified. Test specimens (100 x 100 x 3.2 +/- 0.2 mm) will be conditioned at the specified temperature for 24 h min. Low temperature specimens will be impacted within 5 s after remova
13、l from the cold chamber. Any specimen that exhibits no fracture or a punch through ductile tear within the 13 mm impact area will be defined as a pass. Any specimen that exhibits a brittle or shatter type crack beyond the 13 mm impact area will be defined as a failure. A minimum of 10 specimens must
14、 be impacted. 3.7 PAINTABILITY The material when painted must meet the requirements of engineering performance specifications shown on the engineering drawing, using coating materials approved by the responsible product materials engineering office. 5.
