The IRspec tra and thermograms established for initial approval shallconstitute the reference standard and shall be kept on file at thedesignated material laboratory. 12、grams that correspond to the reference standard when testedunder the same conditions.3.5 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONSAll test values indicated herei n are based on material conditioned ina controlled atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5 % rel ative humidityfor not less than 24 h prior to testin
13、g and tested under the sameconditions unless otherwise specified.3.6 STATISTICAL PROCESSSuppli ers must conform to the requirements of Ford Quality SystemStan dard Q-101. A mutually acceptable Control Plan as describedther ein is required for material/source approval. Appropriatestatistical tools mu
14、st be used to analyze process/produc t data so thatvariation in the final product is continuously reduced.3.7 SUPPLIERS RESPONSIBILITYAll materials supplied to this specification must be equ ivalent in allchar acteristics to the material upon which approval was originallygranted.Prio r to making any
15、 change in the properties, composition,construction, color, processing or labeling of the mater ial originallyapproved under this specificati on, whether or not such changes affectthe materials ability to meet the specification requirements, theSupplier shall notify Purchasing, Toxicology and the af
16、fectedMaterials Engineering activity of the proposed changes and obtain thewritten approval of the Materials Engineering activity. Test data,test sam ples and a new code identification are to be submitted withthe request.Substa nce restrictions imposed by law, regulations or Ford, apply toth e mater

APPROVAL OF MATERIALSMaterials defined by this specification must have prior approval by theresponsible Materials
18、Engineeri ng activity. Suppliers desiring approval oftheir mat erials shall first obtain an expression of interest from theaffecte d Purchasing, Design and Materials Engineering activity. Uponrequest, the Supplier shall submit to the affected Materials Engineeringact ivity a completed copy of their
19、laboratory test reports, signed by aqualified and authorized repres entative of the test facility, demonstratingfu ll compliance with all the requirements of this specification (testresults, not nominal values), t he material designation and code number, andtest spec imens for Ford evaluation. Fords engineering approval of amateria l will be based on its performance to this specification and on anassess ment of suitability for intended processes and/or applications. Uponapproval, the material will be added to the Engineering Material ApprovedSource List.
