SCOPE The materials defined by these specifications are aluminum-magnesium alloys that provide excellent bright
3、anodizing qualities. 2. APPLICATION These specifications were released originally for bright anodized exterior trim components where improved appearance is required. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys
4、Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 CHEMICAL COMPOSITION The chemical composition of any alloy specified on the engineering drawing shall conform to the requirements of SAE and/or Aluminum Association standards. 3.3 MECHANICAL PROPERTIES (ASTM B557M) ALLOY TYPE ULTIM

8、gth 135 MPa Elongation 12% Variations in mechanical properties will occur, depending on the temper designated and the alloy selected. 5.2 APPROVED ALLOYS AND TEMPERS A1 A2 5552 H 25 5257 X 5457 X 5557 X 5657 X X- denotes that the temper must be specified on the engineering drawing to obtain desired forming characteristics and mechanical properties. 5.3 ALLOY PURITY The alloys in 5.2 are higher purity than 5250, 5252, and 5351.
