SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a cerium based automotive diesel fuel additive to be used in association with the fitment of diesel particulate filter after treatment systems. 2. APP
3、LICATION This specification was released originally for materials used for initial fill. This material is also suitable for service use. The material is intended for on-board vehicle dosing systems. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part produc
4、ers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 PHYSICAL/CHEMICAL PROPERTIES 3.2.1 Density 1.11 kg/litre 3.2.2 Viscosity 2 10 MPa (Brookfield at 25 C) 3.2.3 Cerium Concentration 25.0 +/- 0.5 wt. % 3.2.4 Flash Point, min 70 C (ASTM D 93) 3.3 COLOR

6、eering activity reserves the right to conduct verification testing. If the test results do not support the originally submitted data, the supplier must re-test the product in coordination with the affected Materials Engineering activity. This re-test must be conducted and certified by a mutually agr
7、eed upon test facility. 3.5 CHEMICAL AND PHYSICAL PROPERTIES Supplier shall furnish appropriate chemical and physical properties as required on Supplement A along with the manufacturing limits that apply to the material upon which approval is requested. 4. GENERAL INFORMATION The information given b
8、elow is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. 4.1 FLAMMABILITY This material represents a potential fire hazard. The Manufacturing Engineering Department or other responsible activity shall notify both the Security and Safety Units of its presen
9、ce to assure that proper fire precautions are provided. The location in which it is used or stored shall be included in the notifications. 4.2 SAMPLING AND SUBMISSION OF SAMPLES (ISO 3170/3171, ASTM D 4057/D 4177) Quality Control records must be made available to Fuels and Lubricants Engineering upo
10、n request. Where applicable, the required tests shall be conducted in accordance with the most recently approved procedures and the applicable ASTM Standards, Research Reports and Information. All tests under surveillance by ASTM must be conducted using test equipment monitored by and calibrated to
