5、specification describes the test methods. 3.0 REFERENCE DOCUMENTS Unless otherwise specified, the latest issue of all referenced standards shall apply. The following standards, specifications and regulations are referenced in this specification. SAE J 1542 4.0 REQUIREMENTS Charge air cooler must com
6、plete 2,500 cycles without exceeding the charge leakage specification. 4.1 Method of Test Testing shall be in accordance with SAE J-1542. 4.1.1 Cycle Time Shall be 180 seconds, evenly divided between heating and cooling. 4.1.2 Heating Temperature Shall be 138 + 3 C (250 + 5 F) above the ambient temp
7、erature. 4.1.3 Cool Down Temperature Shall be ambient temperature and shall be accomplished by passing ambient air across the charge air cooler during the test. 4.1.4 Charge Flow Rate Shall be within + 5% of the performance flow rate specified on the part drawing. 4.2 Required Charge on cooler must complete 2,500 cycles (minimum) without exceeding the charge leakage specification.
