SCOPE 1.1 This method is intended for detemining the elongation of an inflated cylinder o? laminated cloth. 2. sPEcnm1 2.1 The specimen shall be a laminated cloth cylinder, 8 inches in diameter by 30 inches lon

29、g, and open on both ends. Reference lines shall be drawn on the outside of the specimen prior to seam- ing. A center li= shall be drawn in the width direction on the rectangular piece of laninated cloth and then additional lines shall be made 6 inches away and parallel to the center line. perpenicul

It is cut so that the longitudinal axis of the test specimen forms an angle with the warp of the straight ply cloth and the warp of the bias cloth such that maximum permeabilit

APPARATUS 3.1 The apparatus shall consist of: 3.1.1 A cycling mechanism capable of vertically iaising the laminated cloth test specimen Ud a load equal to 2% of the breaking strength of the laminated cloth at a rate of approximately two seconda per cycle. 3.1.2 Weights

At the opposite end of the test specimen a load equal to 25% of the breaking strength Is attached and the test is begun. A test consists of 10
