When more than 24 months have elapsed since product

The CCU-l26/A Fire Extinguisher Cartridge (Drawing 834AS450) is a flight critical item and shall be identified and produced as such in accordance with NAVAIRINST 4200.25A. 3. Radiographic
20、4. Leakage 3.3 Conformance to documents and materials. The CCU-l26/A Fire Extinguisher Cartridge covered by this specification shall be manufactured in accordance with DL 834AS450 and all documents listed thereon. All materials used in the manufacture of the cartridges shall conform strictly to the
21、specifications referred to on the respective drawings. When alternate materials or methods of manufacture are specified on the drawings, the bidders selections shall be clearly stated in the proposal. 4.3.3 3.5.3 4.3.4 3.5.4 3.4 Primary components. The ignition charge (Drawing 51 84837) and the smok
22、eless powder (Drawing 838AS102) are primary components. Only one lot of each primary component shall be used in a cartridge lot. One primary component lot may be used in more than one cartridge lot. 3.5 Cartridge requirements. The entire lot of production cartridges shall be inspected as specified i

32、wer for 5 minutes minimum in accordance with 4.3.5. 3.6.2 Static discharge. The static discharge shall not fire or dud the cartridge when tested in accordance with 4.3.6. 3.6.3 Stray voltage. Stray voltage shall not fire or dud the cartridge when tested in accordance with 4.3.7. 3.6.4 Shock. The car
33、tridge shall not incur damage from the shock test of 4.3.8. 3.6.5 Temperature, shock, humidity and altitude. The cartridge shall not incur damage or deformation from the temperature, shock, humidity and altitude test of 4.3.9. 3.6.6 Vibration. The cartridge shall not incur damage or deformation from
34、 the vibration test of 4.3.1 O. 3.6.7 Sait fog. The cartridges shall not incur detrimental deformations including corrosion, peeling, chipping, or blistering of the finish, nor exposure of the base metal as a result of the salt fog test of 4.3.1 1. 3.6.8 Function. The cartridge, when tested in accor
35、dance with 4.3.1 2, shall provide sufficient power to fully rupture the retaining disc of the container, permitting full and rapid discharge of the fire extinguishing agent. 36、 from IHS-,-,-MIL-C-82894(OS) distortion that would impair removal of the cartridge. 3.6.8.1 Ignition time. The cartridge shall fire within 25 milliseconds (ms) with application of 5.00, + 0.25, -0.00 amps, when tested in accordance with 4.3.12.1. 3.6.8.2 Misfire. There shall be no misfire. 3.7 Work
37、manship. The cartridge shall be constructed and finished in a manner to assure compliance with all requirements of this specification. Particular attention shall be directed to dimensions, finishes, crimping, sealing, and assembly operations. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for in
38、spection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order (see 6.21, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements (examinations and tests) as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor may use his
39、 own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in this specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to ensure s
40、upplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. 4.1.1 Responsibility for compliance. All items shall meet all requirements of sections 3 and 5. The inspection set forth in this specification shall become a part of the contractors overall inspection system or quality program. The absence of
41、any inspection requirements in the specification shall not relieve the contractor of the responsibility of ensuring that all products or supplies submitted to the Government for acceptance comply with all requirements of the contract. Sampling inspection, as part of manufacturing operations, is an a
42、cceptable practice to ascertain conformance to requirements, however, this does not authorize submission of known defective material, either indicated or actual, nor does it commit the Government to accept defective material. 4.2 Classification of inspections. The inspection requirements specified h
43、erein are classified as follows: a. Production inspection (see 4.2.1) b. First article inspection (see 4.2.2) c. Lot acceptance inspection (see 4.2.3) 4.2.1 Production. The entire lot of production cartridges manufactured under the contract shall be inspected and screened for defects as defined in t

45、Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order (see 6.21, a first article sample of 33 cartridges shall be subjected to first article testing. Twenty four of these cartridges shall be expended in the tests listed in table II and three cartridges shall be retained for investigative purp
46、oses. Any damage inflicted by the environmental treatments, which would adversely affect the performance of the item in service application shall be cause for rejection of the first article sample. Any further production prior to notification by the contracting agency of first article sample accepta
47、bility shall be at the contractors risk. The first article sample shall not be applied as part of the quantity specified for delivery by the contract. Failure of any cartridge to comply with the requirements of table II, 3.5 and 3.6 shall be cause for rejection of the first article represented. Test
