17、f a conflict between the text of this document and the references cited herein, the text of this document takes precedence. Nothing in this document, however, supersedes applicable laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has been obtained. 3. REQUIREMENTS 9 3.1 Material. The material shall
18、be a homogeneous mixture of boron and barium chromate. 3.1.1 Boron. The boron used in the T-10 delay composition shall conform to the requirements specified in MIL-B-51092. 3.1.2 Barium chromate. The barium chromate used in the T-10 delay composition shall conform to MIL-B-550, grade A. 3.2 Composit
19、ion. The composition of the material shall consist of a mixture of boron and barium chromate in such ratio that the T-10 delay composition meets the requirements specified herein. Figure 1 establishes the approximate burntime for a given ratio of ingredients. 3.3 Burntime at room temperature. When t
20、ested as specified in 4.4.2, the average burntime shall be as specified by the acquiring activity (see 6.2). 3.4 Coefficient of variation at room temperature. When determined as specified in 4.4.2.4, the coefficient of variation of the burntime shall not exceed 5.0 percent. 3.5 Low temperature burnt

When determined as specified in 4.4.3, the coefficient of variation of the burntime shall not exceed 5.0 percent. 3.7 Burn effectiveness . When ignited by the ignition powder, specified in 4.4.2

30、 3.11 Workmanship. The delay composition shall be a homogeneous powder 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor is responsible for the performance of al 1 inspection requirements (examinations and
31、tests) as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. any of the inspections set forth in
32、this specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to ensure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. The Government reserves the right to perform 4.1.1 Responsibility for compliance. All items shall meet all requirements of sections 3 and 5. The inspection set forth in
33、this specification shall become a part of the contractors overall inspection system or quality program. specification shall not relieve the contractor of the responsibility of ensuring that all products or supplies submitted to the Government for acceptance comply with all requirements of the contra

The manufacturer shall and maintain all necessary test equipment facilities and personnel for ng all tests. The test equipment shall be of sufficient accuracy and to permit per
36、formance of the required tests. 4.1.3 Test conditions. Unless otherwise specified, all inspections shall be performed in accordance with the applicable paragraph herein. 4.2. Toxicolouical product formulations. The contractor shall have the toxicological product formulations and associated informati
37、on available to the acquiring activity to evaluate the safety of material for the proposed use (see 3.10, 6.3, and 6.9). 4.3 Quality conformance inspection. The quality conformance inspection shall consist of the examination in 4.3.3 and the tests specified in table I. The tests shall be performed b
38、y the contractor or his representative in the presence of the Government inspector to ensure conformance to 3.3 through 3.7. 4.3.1 M. A lot of T-10 delay composition shall consist either of a manufacturers batch which has been mixed as a unit from the ingredients or of a blend of one or more such ba

A second representative pooled sample of the delay composition

All ingredients shall be tested in accorcldnce with the applicable specifications and in accordance with section 3. 4.4.2 Room
48、-temperature functioning test. The test shall be conducted on the basis of each lot as specified in 4.3.1. temperature test shall consist of 20 test elements as specified in 4.4.2.1. The lot shall be divided into 20 equal parts, and 20 delay bodies shall be loaded so that each delay body contains a
49、representative sample from each of the 20 parts without duplication. The sample for the room 4.4.2.1 Loadina of the test element.
