9、ENTS .3,1 Pre rduction Lot. - Unless otherwise specified by the procuring ccc.tiv;ty, the con-ore beginning large scale production under any contract or order, submit for testing in accordance with 4.4, a preproduction lot con- sisting of 31 igniters manufactured by the procedures proposed for use i

The performance of . each unit shall comply with the requirements of 3.4. Accelerated Aging Tests. - Eight igniten shall be random

12、ly I - 4.4.5 selected from the preproduction lot and divided into two groups of four igniten each, designated Groups VI and VII. Following completion of all pre- pioduction rats a report shall be submitted which will constitute a record of all informati

This report will normally be used QS a basis for approval of the preproduction test, and shall contain, but not neces- sarily be limited to, the following: (a) Description of tests (b) Chronological history of all events connected with testing (c) Analysis of res

15、ults (d) Conclusions and recommendations (e) All test data 4.5 . Acceptance Tests. 4.5.1 Non-destructive Testing. 4.5.1.1 Examination. - Each igniter delivered or tested that1 be ex- amined to assure quality of workmanship, use of proper materiais and ussembly, and absence of visual defects or other

16、 imperfections that would affect the Efe or function of the unit. I 4.5.1.2 - Electrical Resistance. - The electrical resistance of each ig- niter delivered or tested shall be determined and shall comply with the tequire- ments of 3.3. c 7 4 Provided by IHSNot for ResaleNo reproduction or networking

MtL-SD-i!%, inspection level 11, nor- ml i.mpection, single sampling. The sample shall be inspected for compliance with oppiica

18、ble dimensional requirements of drawings listed in LD 537849 to ar. Accept- able Quality Level (AQL) of 1.5. 4.5.2 Performance Tests. - A sample shall be selected from each lot, test at -85F and +i75F8 in accordance with the provisions of MIL-STD-414, in- spection level IV, wrmal inspection with var

19、iability unknown-standard deviation method. fiach unit shall be tested in accordance with 4.6.2 and shall comply with the requirements of 3a4. Failure of the sample to comply with the acceptability limib for an AQl of 0.15 shall constitute rejection of the lot. 4 4.6 Test Methods. 4.6.1 . Electrical

20、 Resistance Test. - The resistance and continuity of the completed igniter shall be measured between the igniter grounding post and the ig= niter cable assembly. A resistance testiiig circuit which subjects the igniter to less than 10 milliamperes shall be used. Resistance measurements shall be made

21、 with a . suitable meter having an accuracy of * 0.005 ohms. 1.6.2 Performance Test. 4.:.2.1 The igniter shall be installed in an igniter test chamber fabricated in accordance with Figure 1 and having a free volume of 610 * 6 cubic inches. The igniter shull be fired electrically with not less than 1

22、5 nor more than 20 amperes of cunent flowing. 4.6.2.2 A record of chamber pressure versus time shall be obtained for each tat in the igniter test chamber. This record shall have a minimum time resolution of 0.001 second and minimum pressure resolution of 10 psi and shall consist of a continu- Qus re

23、cording from the instant that current is applied to the igniter until maximum pres- Sure it attained. 5. PREPARATION FOR DEUVERY 5.1 Preservation and Packaging. 5.1.1 - wfth the Code of Federal Regulations 49 CFR 71-78. In addition to the following Level A packaging shall be in accordance 8 c W Prov

25、5. Tho container shall comply with the tequirements of MIL-C-;24B, Type 111. 5.2 Packing. T 5.2. 1 in accordance withode of Federal Regulations 49 CFR 71-78. The package material and method of packaging shall comply with BuOrd Drawing 21855% 502.1 * 1 Exterior Containers. - The unit containers shall

26、 be in accordance with BuOrd Drawing 2185556 . These exterior containers shall then be palletired in accordance with BuOrd Drawing 2185553, except that shipmenis of small quantities which do not warrant pallet sire loads may be shipped in the exterior container only Leve! S ecial Markings. - Marking of exterior containers shall be in accordance with + the Co e of Fe eral Regulations 49 CFR 71-78. 5.3.2 Normal Markings. - In addition to the ma

28、rkings required by con- tract or order, unit packages and shipping containers shdl be marked in accordance u with the requirements of MIL-STD-129. * 5.3.1 I t 5.4 a period of three years in a storage temperature range of -4OF to 14OF without deterioration . .I Storage. - Igniters shall be capable of

31、 Safe Precautions. - The loading, assenbly and handling of the + 6.3 igniter and relate exp osive components thereof, covered by this specification, in- * volve hazardous operations and therefore require-the observince of suitable expio- . sives safety precautions. Use of this specification should n

32、ot be construed to relieve the contractor or the manufacturer of responsibility for the safety of his operations. Listed below are the minimum provisions which a contractor or manufacturer of the igniter should observe in order to fulfill his responsibility for safety. At Bureau of Naval Weapons and

33、 other Government plants these provisions are mandatory. Such other warnings and precautions, which effect the operation effectiveness or safety during usa of the igniter, are included in the detail provisions of this specification. . - . 6.3.1 incnner. All loading operations should be conducted in

34、a neat and orderly 6.3.2 Personnel handling the loaded igniter and related parts which affect functioning should, insofar as practicable, avoid using bare fingen or improper equip- ment in order to prevent damage, corrosion or deterioration from perspiration or other contaminating deposits. 6.3.3 co
