REQUIREMENTS 3.1. sample shall be subjected to first article inspection (see 4.3 and 6.3). 3.2. Materials and components. The ma
12、terials and components chal 1 conform to the applicable specifications and standards as listed or required herein (see 6.2.lh). Unless otherwise specified in the contract, the materials and components, used in the construction of the HAU-l2/P, inflatable, anti-exposure, flyers mittens, shall have be
13、en manufactured not more than 12 months prior to the date of delivery of the HAU-l2/P, inflatable, anti-exposure, flyers mittens (see 6.2.lh). 3.2.1. Outer and inner shells. The outer and inner shells of the mittens shall be fabricated from the polyurethane coated nylon cloth conforming to MIL-C-834
14、89, Type II. The color of the cloth shall match lusterless blue, number 35042, FED-STD-595. First article. 15、1844C 3.2.2. Oral valve. The heat sealable oral valve shall be as manufactured by the Halkey Roberts Corp-, St. Petersburg, FL 33702-1098, Part Number 330-AC, or equivalent. When the top portion is extended, the air shall be able to enter and escape from the air chamber of the mitten through the val
16、ve into the atmosphere. The top portion, when depressed, shall seal off the flow of air through the valve and shall prevent entry of any kind of foreign matter. b 3.2.3. Tie cord. The tie cord shall be fabricated from the nylon cord conforming to MIL-C-5040, Type lA, color optional. The cut length o
17、f the cord shall be 5 feet 2 one inch. treated to prevent raveling. No sharp edges shall be formed. The searing or treatment of the cut edges shall not damage the cord in any manner. One end shall be inserted through the mitten eyelet and securely knotted to prevent loss. The remainder of the tie co
18、rd shall be faked into four inch hanks. The hanks shall be held together at each end by the use of polychloroprene rubber bands. The cut ends of the cord shall be seared or 3.2.4. Metal eyelet. One metal eyelet, in accordance with MIL-E-20652, part number M20652/1-BNE109, shall be installed in the c
19、enter of a circular heat-sealed bond located as shown on Drawing 1640AS101. The metal eyelet shall accommodate the tie cord specified in 3.2.3. 3.3. Design. The mittens shall consist of an outer and inner shell, heat-sealed together to form an air chamber, an oral valve, for orally inflating.the air
20、 chamber, and capability to seal off the flow of air into the atmosphere and to prevent entry of any foreign matter into the air chamber; and a tie cord.
