12、umberoftestpiecestobeused(see3.3); c) theperiodforwhichpressureisapplied(see3.4.3); d)the length Lofthetestpiece. 3.2Apparatus 3.2.1Pressurizing system, capableofmaintaining,forthedurationofthetest,aspecifiedhydraulicpressure measuredatthetopofthetestpiecetoanaccuracywithin2%and+5%. 3.2.2Pressuremea

13、suringdevice, ofsufficientaccuracytoensureconformityto3.2.1.ISO7511:1999(E) ISO 2 3.2.3Endsealingdevices, suchasendcaps,internalstoppersorinflatablebags,dependingonthediameterof thetestpiece.Meansshallbeprovidedtopreventmovementofthesealingdeviceunderpressure.Suchdevices shallnottransmitendthrusttot

14、hetestpiece. 3.2.4Testpiecesupport, ifnecessary,tominimizedeformationofthetestpieceduetoitsmassanditscontents. Thissupportshallnotconstrainthetestpiececircumferentiallyorlongitudinally. 3.3Testpieces 3.3.1 Eachtestpieceshallcomprisealengthofpipeasspecifiedinthereferringstandard. 3.3.2 Thenumberoftes

15、tpiecesshallbeasspecifiedinthereferringstandard. 3.4Procedure WARNINGAttentionisdrawntothedangersassociatedwithpressureandtheneedtotakeallnecessary precautionstopreventinjurytopersonnel. 3.4.1 Attachtheendsealingdevicestothetestpieceandfillthetestpiecewithwater,expellingallair.Attachthe testpiecetot

16、hepressurizingsystem,takingcaretoavoidentrapmentofair. 3.4.2 Increasethehydrostaticpressureataratesuchthatthespecifiedtestpressureisreachedinthetime specifiedinthereferringstandard. 3.4.3 Maintainthethetestpressureforthetimespecifiedinthereferringstandardoruntilleakageisobserved(see 2.1),whicheveroc

17、cursfirst.Recordanyevidenceofleakagethroughthewallofthetestpiece(see3.1and3.2.1) andtheperiodafterwhichitwasobserved. 3.5Testreport Thetestreportshallincludethefollowinginformation: a) areferencetothisInternationalStandardandthereferringstandard; b) alldetailsnecessaryforfullidentificationofthepipet

23、 allnecessaryprecautionstopreventinjurytopersonnel.Forreasonsofsafety,itisrecommendedthatthe testpressuredoesnotexceed0,1barunlessotherwisespecifiedbythereferringstandard. 4.4.1 Attachtheendsealingdevicestothetestpiece,ensuringthatendthrustwillnotbetransmittedtothetest piece.Connectthetestpiecetothe

24、pressurizingsystemthroughoneoftheendsealingdevices.Eitherpaintthe outersurfaceofthetestpiecewithasolutionofsoaporasimilaragentifthetestisperformedinair,orimmersethe testpiececompletelyinwater. 4.4.2 Pressurizethetestpiecetothetestpressurespecifiedbythereferringstandard(see4.1). 4.4.3 Maintainthetest

25、pressureforthetimespecifiedbythereferringstandard(see4.1)oruntilleakageis observed,whicheveroccursfirst. Inspectforandrecordanybubblingcausedbyairescapingthroughthewallofthetestpiece. 4.5Testreport Thetestreportshallincludethefollowinginformation: a) areferencetothisInternationalStandardandthereferr
