1、A-A-50 149 2anusi-y 21, 1988 COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION VASE, CHAPEL, ALTAR The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description in preference to MIL-V-43535. 1. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS 1.1 Design and construction. The vase shall be fabricated of commercial
2、 brass with a chromium plate finish. All exterior surfaces shall be brass, chromium plated, Materials not definitely specified shall be of the quality normally used for the purpose in commercial practice. The vase shall measure approximately 10 inches in height from base to top; 4-3/4 inches across
3、the top; with a 5-inch diameter round base. The base shall be solid and flat, i.e. not footed. The vase shall be fabricated to include a removable, anodes coated liner. The liner shall be approximately 7 inches in height; 4 inches across the tap with a tapered base measuring 2 inches. The vase shall
4、 contain no religious markings. 2. QUALITY ASSURANCE 2.1 Certification. The contractor shall certify that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of the description and conforms to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices, and is the same a
5、s the product offered for sale in the commercial marketplace. When specific quality assurance provisions are specified for any commercial characteristic the contractor shall furnish data resulting from inspection conducted in accordance with the specific quality assurance provisions. The Government
6、reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract. 3. PACKAGING 3.1 Packaging. Cushioning material shall be placed between the vase body and the vase liner to immobilize and afford prot
7、ection against abrasion during shipment and storage. Each vase shall be placed in a clear plastic bag and then packed, in pairs, into a snugifitting fiberboard box.
