3、ht gage carbonsteel sheet piling of structural quality for use in the construc-tion of shore walls, trench shoring, wingwalls, bulkheads, andlike applications.1.2 The nominal thickness of material furnished under thisspecification shall be 0.25 in. 6.4 mm or less.1.3 When the sheet piling is to be w
4、elded, it is presupposedthat a welding procedure suitable for the grade of steel andintended use or service will be used. General Requirements for Delivery3.1 Material furnished under this specif
8、ication shall con-form to the requirements of the current edition of SpecificationA 6/A 6M, for the ordered material, unless a conflict exists inwhich case this specification shall prevail.4. Materials and Manufacture4.1 Sheet piling shall be produced using one of the follow-ing processes:4.1.1 Deco
9、iling coiled material and feeding it through amulti-stand roll-forming mill at ambient temperature, or4.1.2 Forming cut lengths of material into piling on a pressbreak.5. Chemical Composition5.1 The chemical composition of the steel on heat analysisshall conform to the requirements listed in Table 1

Tension Test6.1 The source material or the sheet piling as provided in 6.2and 6.3, as represented by the test specimens, shall conform tothe tensile requirements for the grade specified as listed inTable 2.6.2 Sheet and strip source materials shall be tested inaccordance with the requirements of
11、 Specification A 1011/A 1011M or A 1018/A1018M. The test specimens shall betaken from the source material or from the sheet piling. If testspecimens are obtained from the sheet piling, they are to betaken from a nondeformed area.6.3 Plate source material shall be tested in accordance withthe require
12、ments of Specification A 6 /A 6M, except that thetest specimen may be taken such that the longitudinal axis ofthe specimens are parallel to the final direction of rolling of thematerial. The test specimens shall be taken from the source orfrom the sheet piling on a nondeformed area.1This specificati
