1、Designation: B85/B85M 14B85/B85M 18Standard Specification forAluminum-Alloy Die Castings1This standard is issued under the fixed designation B85/B85M; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or, in the case of revision, the year of last revision. A num

Asuperscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.This standard has been approved for use by agencies of the U.S. Department of Defense.1. Scope*1.1 This specification covers aluminum-alloy die castin

3、gs of all compositions. Thirteen of the most commonly die cast alloycompositions are specified, designated as shown in Table 1.1.2 This specification is not intended for aluminum-alloy die castings used in aerospace applications.general purposeapplications. It may not address the mechanical properti

4、es, integrity testing, and verification required for highly loaded or safetycritical applications.1.3 Alloy and temper designations are in accordance with ANSI H35.1/H35.1(M). The equivalent unified numbering systemalloy designations are in accordance with Practice E527.1.4 Unless the order specifie

5、s the “M” specification designation, the material shall be furnished to the inch-pound units.1.5 For acceptance criteria for inclusion of new aluminum and aluminum alloys and their properties in this specification, seeAnnex A1 and Annex A2.1.6 UnitsThe values stated in either SI units or inch-pound

6、units are to be regarded separately as standard. The values statedin each system may not be exact equivalents; therefore, each system shall be used independently of the other. Combining valuesfrom the two systems may result in non-conformance with the standard.1.7 This standard does not purport to a

7、ddress all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibilityof the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety safety, health, and healthenvironmental practices and determine theapplicability of regulatory requirementslimitations prior to use.1.8 This intern

8、ational standard was developed in accordance with internationally recognized principles on standardizationestablished in the Decision on Principles for the Development of International Standards, Guides and Recommendations issuedby the World Trade Organization Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Commi

ASTM designations were established in accordance with Practice In case ofdiscrepancy between the values listed in Table 1 and those listed in

32、the Designations and Composition Limits for Aluminum Alloys in the Form of Castings and Ingot(known as the “Pink Sheets”), the composition limits registered with the B275. ANSI designations were established in accordance with ANSI H35.1/H35.1 (M). UNSdesignations were established in accordance with

33、Practice Aluminum Association and published in the “Pink Sheets” shall be considered the controllingcomposition.E527.E ”Others” “Others” includes listed elements for which no specific limit is shown as well as unlisted metallic elements.The producer may analyze samples for trace elementsnot specifie
