6、pace Race has led to unnecessary competition between nations and a consequent failure to cooperate and collaborate on international issues. Moreover, many sociologists argue that colonies in space would create more social problems than they would solve. Nonetheless, I am still in favor of space trav

7、el, for its merits far outweigh its demerits. In conclusion, in spite of some worries about space travel, it will, undisputedly, exert favourable effect on the human race, such as the discovery of new resources, the exploration of new colonies, and so on. Space research has already brought many benefits to humanity. Perhaps it will bring even more unimaginable benefits in the future. Moreover, just as individual people need challenges to make their lives more interesting, I believe the human race itself needs a challenge, and I think that the peaceful exploration of outer space provides just such a challenge.
