、Designation: D4101 10Standard Specification forPolypropylene Injection and Extrusion Materials1This standard is issued under the fixed designation D4101; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or, in the case of revision, the year of last revision. A

、number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval. This standard has been approved for use by agencies of the Department of Defense.INTRODUCTIONThis specification is not intended for the selection o

Polymers consist ofhomopolymer, copolymers, and elastomer compounded with orwithout the addition of impact modifiers (ethylene-propylenerubber

、, polyisobutylene rubber, and butyl rubber), colorants, stabilizers, lubricants, or reinforcements.1.2 This specification allows for the use of those polypro-pylene materials that can be recycled, reconstituted, andreground, provided that: (1) the requirements as stated in thisspecification are met,

、and (2) the material has not beenmodified in any way to alter its conformance to food contactregulations or similar requirements. The proportions of re-cycled, reconstituted, and reground material used, as well asthe nature and the amount of any contaminant, cannot bepractically covered in this spec
