、d This Part of BS3762 has been prepared under the direction of the Chemicals Standards Policy Committee and supersedes BS3762-0:1989, which is withdrawn. BS3762 provides a series of analytical methods for formulated detergents, i.e.products ready for use (possibly after dilution) in solid, paste or
、liquid form. The revised BS3762 is published in five Parts, the analytical methods in Parts3 and4 being published separately as Sections. The Parts together supersede BS3762:1964, which is withdrawn, and from which they differ in the following ways. a) Methods of analysis of detergent raw materials
、are not included as they are published in BS6829 “Analysis of surface active agents (raw materials)”. b) Analytical methods applicable to all washing powders (including soap powders) are included. The test methods in BS1715 apply only to soap. c) The schematic examination of active matter has been w
、ithdrawn. d) Certain physical and performance tests have been omitted. In preparing this revision of BS3762, the opportunity has been taken, if appropriate, to implement, preferably without alteration, International Standards describing test methods for surface active agents. These have been prepare
、d, with the active participation of the UK, by Technical Committee91, Surface active agents, of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). In this Part of BS3762, Table 1 gives the Parts and Sections of the standard and the analytical methods included therein and, where appropriate, t
、heir relationships to the corresponding International Standards. The range of analytical methods, although wide, is not exhaustive and it is intended that work should continue with the object of improving existing test methods and preparing others for publication as further Sections of BS3762. BS376
、2 does not include methods of sampling detergents from bulk. Guidance in this respect is given, however, in BS5309-1, BS5309-3 and BS5309-4. A British Standard does not purport to include all the necessary provisions of a contract. Users of British Standards are responsible for their correct applica
