35、 for the construction, performance, primary packaging and labelling of party poppers and the corresponding test methods. It is applicable to fireworks which are classified as party poppers in category 1 of EN 14035-2 and which are contained in a primary pack. It is applicable to party poppers which
36、contain up to 10 mg of pyrotechnic composition that is based on potassium chlorate and red phosphorous. It is not applicable to party poppers containing pyrotechnic composition that includes any of the following substances: arsenic or arsenic compounds; mixtures containing a mass fraction of chlorat
37、es greater than 80 %; mixtures of chlorates with metals; mixtures of chlorates with potassium hexacyanoferrate(II); mixtures of chlorates with sulfur; mixtures of chlorates with sulfides; lead or lead compounds; mercury compounds; white phosphorus; picrates or picric acid; potassium chlorate with a
38、mass fraction of bromates greater than 0,15 %; sulfur with an acidity, expressed in mass fraction of sulfuric acid, greater than 0,002 %; zirconium with a particle size of less than 40 m.NOTE In EN 14035-2, party poppers are classified as follows: - brief description: device operated by a pull-strin
39、g with an abrasive surface in sliding contact with a friction-sensitive pyrotechnic composition and designed to be held in the hand; - principal effects: report, with ejection of streamers and/or confetti. 45、in EN 14035-1:2003 apply. 4 Construction 4.1 Shape The shape of the party popper shall be such that it does not resemble a gun. Conformity to this requirement shall be verified by visual examination. 4.2 Materials of firework case The body of the firework case shall be made of paper, cardboard or pl
46、astics.Conformity to this requirement shall be verified by visual examination. 4.3 Integrity There shall be no splits, dents or bulges in the body of the firework case and no holes other than that through which the pull-string passes. There shall be no holes or splits in the closure of the mouth whi
47、ch shall be in place so that it retains the contents. Conformity to these requirements shall be verified by visual examination. 48、he length of the pull-string shall be at least 75 mm. 4.5 Ejected material When examined in accordance with 8.2, the ejected material shall be made of paper. 5 Performance 5.1 Pull-string When tested in accordance with 8.2, the pull-string shall not break. 5.2 Principal effects When tested in accord
49、ance with 8.2, the principal effects of the party popper, as given in EN 14035-2, shall be a report with the ejection of streamers and/or confetti. 5.3 Number of reports When tested in accordance with 8.2, the party popper shall not produce more than one report. 5.4 Sound pressure level When tested in accordance with 8.2, a party popper shall produce a maximum A-weighted impulse sound pressure level (LAImax) of not higher than 120 dB (AI) at a horizontal distance of 500 mm behind the party popper. When tested in accordance with 8.2, a pa
