、dardization Provided by IHS under license with CENNot for ResaleNo reproduction or networking permitted without license from IHS-,-EN IS0 128-212001 Foreword IS0 (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies (IS0 member bodies). The work
、of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through IS0 technical committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been established has the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, governmental and non-government
、al, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. IS0 collaborates closely with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization. Draft International Standards adopted by the technical committees are circulated to the member bodies for voting.
、 Publication as an International Standard requires approval by at least 75 ?AO of the member bodies casting a vote. International Standard IS0 128-21 was prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 1 O, Technical drawings, product definition and related documentation, Subcommittee SC 1, Basic conventions
、. IS0 128 consists of the following parts, under the general title Technical drawings - General principles of presentation: - - - Part 20: Basic conventions for lines Part 27: Preparation of lines by CAD systems Part 23: Lines on construction drawings Further parts of IS0 128 are planned, covering o

、uction or networking permitted without license from IHS-,-EN IS0 128-212001 Introduction Today the appearance of non-continuous lines on technical drawings prepared by computer-aided design (CAD) systems varies considerably between different systems. For that reason the standardized rules establishe
、d by this International Standard, in addition to those in IS0 128-20, are intended as an aid for the consistent appearance of line elements calculated by computers and drawn by plotters. . 111 Copyright European Committee for Standardization Provided by IHS under license with CENNot for ResaleNo rep

、ion - Part 21 : Preparation of lines by CAD systems 1 Scope This part of IS0 128 specifies procedures for the calculation of the most important basic types of non-continuous lines according to IS0 128-20 and their line elements. 2 Normative references The following standards contain provisions which
、, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this part of IS0 128. At the time of publication, the editions indicated were valid. All standards are subject to revision, and parties to agreements based on this part of IS0 128 are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the
、 most recent editions of the standards indicated below. Members of IEC and IS0 maintain registers of currently valid International Standards.
