Initial diameter d2 The initial diameter d of the workpiece

6、en adopted for all types, since the previous denominations “diamond knurling“ and “negative diamond knurlng“ vere not used conaiatently, and hence difficultiea arose in the choice of toola. Some type8 of knurl have been given briefer denominations, auch ea left-hand hurl , right-hand knurl, left-han
7、d/right-hand burl. The type letter symbols assigned to the various types provido both for better differentiation and also yield a code deaienation for use in electronic data processing. The letter R differentiates the burla Zrom the hurling rolle (aee DIN 403). the second letter (A, E, (i and K) des
