SCOPE * 1.1 This specification covers snap fastener supports. * 1.2 Classifica

16、stener supports shall be permanently indented in the location as shown on Drawing 4-1-74 with the manufacturers identification or trademark of such known characters as to be identified with the manufacturer. The indentations shall be not less than 1/8 inch in size and shall be legible after finishin
17、g. * 3.6 Workmanship.- The finished snap fastener supports shall be clean and free from oil, grease, dirt , sharp edges , burrs, malformation, and fracture. Lacquer and enamel coatings shall level out to a uniform dry film thickness without peeling, flaking, or blistering and shall be free from runs
18、, sags, drips, foreign inclusions, and areas of thin or no film. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS * 4.1 Responsibility for inspection.- Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the supplier is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Exc
19、ept as otherwise specified in the contract or order, the supplier may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth
20、in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. * 4.2 First article inspection.- When a first article is required, it shall be examined for defects in table I and specified dimensions. Any visual defect or any dimen
21、sion not within specified requirements shall constitute cause for rejection of the first article. * 4.3 Inspection.- Sampling for inspection shall be performed in accordance with MIL-STD-105 , except where otherwise indicated hereinafter. * 4.3.1 Component and material inspection.- In accordance wit
22、h 4.1, components and materials shall be inspected and tested in accordance with all the requirements of referenced specifications , drawings and standards unleas otherwise excluded, amended, modified or qualified in this specifi- cation or applicable purchase document. 4 Licensed by Information Han

PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY 5.1
34、Packaging.- Packaging shall be level A or C, as specified (see 6.2). * 5.1.1 Level A.- Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2), 2500 snap fastener supports of one class and finish only, shall be packed in a snug-fitting fiberboard box conforming to style RSC, type CF or SF, class domestic, variety opti
35、onal, grade 200 of PPP-B-636. When specified, snap fastener supports in the quantities specified, not to exceed 2500, shall be packaged in a folding, metal-stayed or Set-up paperboard box conforming to PPP-B-566, PPP-B-665 , or PPP-B-676, respectively. The weight and dimensional limitations of the r
36、espective boxes shall apply. folding or Set-up paperboard boxes shall be in accordance with the appendix of the respective specifications. Closure shall be in accordance with the appendix of the container specification. * 5.2.2.1 When specified (see 6.2), the shipping container shall be a grade VC, V3s or V4s fiberboard box fabricated in accordance with PPP-B-636 and closed in
