This commercial item description cover
2、s a surgeons adjustabe revolving stool. Salient characteristics: The surgeons stool shall be corrosion-resisting steel with four legs and a revolving, adjustable seat. All parts of the stool except the seat screw and adapter flange shall be made of corrosion-resisting steel, American Iron and Steel
3、Institute (AISI) 300 series. As an alternate, the screw socket may be carbon steel with a corrosion-resisting steel housing. The seat screw and adapter flange shall be AISI 1010 or 1215 carbon steel. 0 The seat height shall be adjustable within a minimum range of 19 to 25 inches. It shall not be pos
4、sible to inadvertently remove the seat. The seat shall have a diameter between 12-1/2 and 15-1/2 inches with a slightly concave upper surface and a well-rounded apron. Seat thickness shall be 0.078 inch minimum. Top of seat shall be parallel to the floor within 2 degrees when measured throughout one
5、 full revolution of the seat. The four legs shall be constructed of tubing with a minimum wall thickness of 0.049 inch. The end of each leg shall be closed off flush with a metal cap or plug. A securely fitting eleccrically conductive rubber tip shall be on the bottom of each leg. The stool shall ha
6、ve a leg brace parallel to the floor approximately 7 inches above the lower tips of the legs and welded thereto. The brace metal shall be 3/8 inch minimum diameter rod or 3/4“ minimum O.D. tubing. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract. Preservation, packaging, packing, labeling, and markinq. Unless otherwise specified, preservation, packaging, and
20、packing shall be to a degree of protection to preclude damage to containers and/or contents thereof under normal shipping conditions, handling, etc., involving shipment from the supply source to the receiving activity, plus reshipment from receiving activity, and shall conform to applicable carriers
