This com
2、mercial item description covers seven styles of Thoracic -abdominal surgical staple units. Salient characteristics: Style and design. Style and design of staple units shall conform to Figure 1. Staple units shall consist of the following: Staple cartridge. The staple cartridge shall contain staple c
3、hannels, a drive mechanism designed to engage the compatible stapler and drive the staples toward the anvil, a spring-loaded alignment pin, and a slotted alignment pin spring. The number of staple channels (staples) shall be as specified in Table II. Except as specified in the “Notes“ section, the c
4、hannels shall be arranged in a double-staggered row (See Figure 1). Each channel shall be loaded with a surgical staple. Anvil. The anvil shall contain a mated set of staple- clinching pockets.and an engagement hook and detent stop, as shown in Figure 1. Hinge. the anvil and cartridge. The hinge sha
5、ll be a spring-loaded hinge connecting Dimensions. For each NSN, staple dimensions shall be as indicated in Table I. Workmanship. from their appearance or impair their serviceability. - Unit. Each (PG) . One package containing tweIve individually
12、packaged sterile stapling units, as specified, constitutes one unit. The individual package shall be a sealed peel-open type container capable of maintaining sterility of contents unless the package is damaged or opened. Staple units shall be free from defects that detract Quality Assurance Provisio
13、ns. Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor is responsible for the performance of al1 inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor may use his own or an
14、y facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and servi
15、ces conform to prescribed requirements. Records of examinations and tests performed by or for the contractor shall be maintained by the contractor and made available to the Government upon the Governments request, at any time, or from time to time, during the-performance of the contract and for a pe
16、riod of three years after delivery of the supplies to which such records relate.
