BS EN 16146:2012+A1:2014 EN 16146:2012+A1:2014 (E)6 1 Scope This European Standard applies to hoses for extractable outlets of any material intended for equipping sanitary tapware for sinks and basins. Such hoses
25、will only be connected downstream of the obturator of the tapware. The tapware will comply with EN 200, EN 817, EN 1111, EN 1286 or EN 1287 (see 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6). Hoses intended to connect sanitary tapware to the water supplies are not covered by this standard. This European Standard specifies: the
26、 dimensional, mechanical and hydraulic characteristics with which the hose for extractable outlets shall comply; the procedures for testing these characteristics. 34、pply pipe which connects sanitary tapware to an extractable outlet 4 Designation Hoses for extractable outlets complying with this standard, are designated by: type; connecting thread dimensions e.g. G 1/2 G 1/2 or G 1/2 G 3/4; length; material of the external sheath (plastic, metal); type of nuts a

36、egibly with the manufacturers mark or the suppliers mark. The flow rate class shall appear on the product but it need not be permanent. Hoses for extractable outlets with special dimensions (see 7.3) delivered together with the tapware need not be marked individually. 6 Materials 6.1 Chemical and hy
37、gienic requirements All materials coming into contact with water intended for human consumption shall present no risk to health. They shall not cause any change of the drinking water in terms of quality, appearance, smell or taste. 6.2 Exposed surface condition and quality of coating Visible chromiu
38、m plated surfaces and Ni-Cr coatings shall comply with the requirements of EN 248. 42、ases Hoses for extractable outlets intended for special applications e.g. when interchangeability is not a requirement, can incorporate the following dimensional deviations: connection to the tapware is guaranteed; threaded connections are in compliance with ISO standards; all other requirements of
43、this standard are satisfied; the manufacturers literature, including the installation instructions supplied with the hoses for extractable outlets, indicates clearly that the hoses for extractable outlets are special cases. 8 Hydraulic characteristics 8.1 General The test described is a type test (l
44、aboratory test) and not a quality control test carried out during manufacture. 8.2 Flow rate 8.2.1 Test method This clause describes a method for testing the flow rate of hoses. 8.2.2 Principle The principle consists of a method for measuring the flow rate through the hoses for extractable outlets u
45、sing cold water (T 30 C) in order to determine the flow rate class of the hose (see Table 1). The flow rate of hoses for extractable outlets with special connection (see 7.3) delivered together with the tapware is measured in combination with the complete sanitary tapware. 46、N 16146:2012+A1:2014 (E)12 8.2.3 Apparatus The test apparatus is shown in Figure 6. 8.2.4 Procedure Connect the G 1/2 size nut of the hose for extractable outlets to the pressure take-off tee, supporting the hose in a horizontal position; apply the required dynamic pressure using the horizontal axis
47、 of the hose as a datum; record the flow rate “Q” (Table 1) after stabilisation. 8.2.5 Requirements Hoses for extractable outlets shall be classified according to the flow rate value “Q” at the required pressure as shown in Table 3. !
