14、 Issue 2, May 1997 In case the manufacturer claims power supply voltage tolerances exceeding I10 %, the characteristics to be specified shall also be stated for the upper and lower limits of these tolerances. If variations in the frequency of the power supply, within the tolerances specified by the

15、manufacturer, have any significant influence on the characteristics to be specified, these characteristics shall also be stated for the upper and lower limits of the claimed frequency tolerances. If harmonics in the a.c. power supply or ripple in the d.c. power supply, within the limits specified by

16、 the manufacturer, have any significant influence on the characteristics to be specified, those characteristics shall also be stated for the upper limit of the claimed toler- ances of harmonic or ripple content. 4.3.1 Mechanical performance claims 4.3.1.1 Shock and vibration resistance Definition Th

21、e the circle on the scope. Set oscilloscope sensitivity of A and i3 input so that a circle will be displayed. Observe the circle during the shock test run. The distortion of the circle is a measure for the shock influence. It is advised to also listen for audible effects. The test should be repeated

22、 three times in all directions (4-X, +/-Y +/-2) for every severity level. Acceleration signal: specified noise according to IEC 721 -3-5, table VI: a) stationary vibration, sinusoidal: frequency range 9 Hz - 200 Hz; b) stationary vibration, random: frequency range 10 Hz - 200 Hz.

25、 Duration: 1 min. Method Play the test CD and increase the acceleration intensity every minute up to the point just before the audio sound reproduction is negatively affected by distortion variations. The limit is thus established between complete error correction and the beginning of interpolation.

26、 Result Besides the disturbance direction (horizontal or vertical), the type of acceleration signal, the maximum acceleration amplitude (in meters per second, squared, peak-to-peak) and the related frequency (in hertz) or random noise shall be named. 4.3.1.2 Acoustic noise Definition The noise radia

27、ted by the player mechanism during various modes of application. Such modes are: - disc loading, unloading, disc change action; - search within a track, track search, pause and playback. Test disc Any test disc covered in annexes A and C of this standard which refer to restricted CD parameters. Meth

28、od The measurements should be carried out preferably in an anechoic room in order to minimize the effect of sound reflected by the room surfaces. A room with reverberation time less than 1 s for frequencies higher than 100 Hz will lead to nearly the same results, if the distance between each measuri

29、ng point and the next reflecting surface is at least three times the distance of the same measuring point to the sound source. The ambient noise (noise without object under test) shall be at least 10 dE3 lower than the sound pressure at the measuring point in each frequency band. Test room parameter

30、s shall conform with IS0 3740, IS0 3741, IS0 3742, IS0 3743-1, IS0 3743-2, IS0 3744 and IS0 3745. Place the player on a wooden board of 800 mm x 1200 mm x 20 mm size (depth x width x thickness) supported by a thin anti-slip layer. At least for the measuring point with the highest dB(A)-value add a one-third octave spectrum. T

32、his allows the ear-related value to be calculated (see IS0 532) in order to find the correct NR curve (see IS0 1996). Insert the test disc(s) on the loading tray or in the changer box. Measure the player noise level at the named microphone positions and during the defined modes of application. Repea

33、t the measurements at least three times and calculate the arithmetic mean value. Result The one-third octave sound spectrum at the loudest measuring point at a distance of 1 m to the player surface. The noise level per test mode or at least for the highest average noise level should be stated in dB(

Examples are given in annex A. 4.4.3 The
