、55 0074025 T2L = Page 5 GSM 04.91 Version 5.1 .O: March 1996 Foreword This Global System for Mobile communications Technical Specification (GTS) has been produced by the Special Mobile Group (SMG) Technical Committee (TC) of the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI). This GTS define
、s stage 3 of Explicit Call Transfer (ECT) supplementary services within the digital cellular telecommunications system (Phase 2/Phase 2+). GTS are produced by TC-SMG to enable the GSM Phase 2+ specifications to become publicly available, prior to submission for the formal ETSI standards approval pro
、cedure to become European Telecommunications Standards (ETS). This ensures the earliest possible access to GSM Phase 2+ specifications for all Manufacturers, Network operators and implementors of the Global System for Mobile communications. The contents of this GTS are subject to continuing work wit
、hin TC-SMG and may change following formal TC-SMG approval. Should TC-SMG modify the contents of this GTS it will then be republished by ETSI with an identifying change of release date and an increase in version number as follows: Version 5.x.y where: y the third digit is incremented when editorial
、only changes have been incorporated in the specificat ion; x the second digit is incremented for all other types of changes, .e. technical enhancements, corrections, updates, etc. Reference is made within this GTS to GSM-TSs (note). NOTE: TC-SMG, has produced documents which give the technical speci
、fications for the implementation of the digital cellular telecommunications system. Historically, these documents have been identified as GSM Technical Specifications (GSM-TSs). These TSs may have subsequently become LETS (Phase l), or ETSs/ETSI Technical Reports (ETRs) (Phase 2). TC-SMG has also pr
、oduced ETSI GSM TSs which give the technical specifications for the implementation of Phase 2+ enhancements of the digital cellular telecommunications system. These version 5.x.x GSM Technical Specifications may be referred to as GTSs. ETST *GSM*O4nS1, 9hi 34nQ45 0074026 9b8 Page 6 GSM 04.91 Version
、 5.1.0: March 1996 Blank page Paae 7 GSM 04.91 Version 5.1 .O: March T996 1 Scope This GSM Technical Specification gives the stage 3 description of the call transfer supplementary services. This specification specifies the procedures used at the radio interface (Reference point Um as defined in tech
、nical specification GSM 04.02) for normal operation, registration, erasure, activation, deactivation, invocation and interrogation of call transfer supplementary services. Provision and withdrawal of supplementary services is an administrative matter between the mobile subscriber and the service pro
、vider and cause no signalling on the radio interface. In technical specification GSM 04.10 the general aspects of the specification of supplementary services at the layer 3 radio interface are given. Technical specification GSM 04.80 specifies the formats and coding for the supplementary services. D
、efinitions and descriptions of supplementary services are given in technical specifications GSM 02.04, GSM 02.8 and GSM 02.9-series. Technical specification GSM 02.91 is related specifically to call transfer supplementary services. The technical realization of supplementary services is described in
、technical specifications GSM 03.1 1, GSM 03.8 and 03.9-series. Technical specification GSM 03.91 is related specifically to call transfer supplementary services. The procedures for Call Control, Mobility Management and Radio Resource management at the layer 3 radio interface are defined in technical
、 specifications GSM 04.07 and GSM 04.08. The following supplementary services belong to the call transfer supplementary services and are described in this specification: - Explicit Call Transfer (ECT) (see clause 4). 2 Normative references This specification incorporates by dated and undated referen
