3、ble for assigning base part numbers and names for released Product Engineering drawings. Materials Engineering Testing and Standards (MET&S) is responsible for assigning Standard/Utility part numbers and names for released Product Engineering drawings. See FAP03-117. 3.1.2 For Part Numbers not alrea
4、dy in the WERS database the Design Responsible Engineering Activities will submit a request for Basic Part Numbers/Names using this website: https:/ 3.2 PRODUCT DRAWING TITLES 3.2.1 Part Titles are assigned by Program and Pre-Production Management (PPM). The drawing title is to be stated exactly as
5、it is listed within the Base Part Number Database located at https:/ after performing a search for the specific base part number. Part Titles are not permitted to contain part usage, as WERS is the master for this information. Object drawing titles, data file naming and drawing file naming must be t
6、he identical, See PIM Yellowbook. 3.3 MANUFACTURING DRAWING TITLES 3.3.1 The drawing title area contained in the Drawing Title Block (see Standard A-1, item X) shall contain up to four (4) text lines. The first two (2) lines shall be used for the title of the drawing. The second two (2) lines should
7、 be used for the title of the sheet. 3.3.2 The title of the drawing and each sheet shall be concise and specific. Titles shall not limit usage based on location (site, operation etc.) or production parts being manufactured. 3.3.2.1 The title of the drawing shall name the process, tool or equipment r
8、elevant to the drawing. The title of the drawing shall be associated with each drawing sheet and shall not contain sheet specific information.
