SCOPE These specifications were released initially for woven fabrics, cleaned, free from waste, and of good commercial
3、quality. 2. APPLICATION These materials were released originally as backing in the manufacture of vinyl coated fabrics and other trim applications as specified on engineering drawings. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must confo
4、rm to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 WIDTH As specified on the Purchase Order. In all cases, this figure shall be a minimum inside selvage dimension. 3.3 WEAVE Shall be the same as the sample approved for production by the Textile Engineering Sectio
5、n, BEPE Materials Engineering Department. 3.4 SIZING (FLTM AN 003-01) Shall not exceed the maximum indicated in the attached chart. 3.5 INJURIOUS ELEMENTS, max (ASTM D 377) Copper 0.001% Manganese 0.0005% In addition, chemicals such as caustic soda shall be completely removed so that discoloration d
6、oes not occur as the vinyl coated fabric passes through the processing ovens. Test Method: Pla
7、ce 8 oz (237 ml) of distilled water (23 +/- 2 C) in a white paper cup. Saturate a 2 x 2 in (51 x 51 mm) dyed fabric test specimen in the water. Withdraw the specimen and squeeze it by hand so that the water drips back into the cup. Observe water in cup for noticeable color change. 3.7 DETAILED PROPE
8、RTIES See attached chart 3.8 SELVAGE Shall be of uniform and equal width on both edges of the fabric. The selvages shall be so made that the tension shall be the same as, and shall lie flat with the body of the cloth. Baggy goods and curling selvages shall be cause for rejection. 3.10 BONDING ASSEMB
9、LY In addition to the requirements listed above, bonding grade materials shall meet the following added requirements. 3.10.1 Material Acceptability The criterion for material acceptability shall be the assemblys job performance. This means that the materials composition and formulation must form a s
10、atisfactory bond to itself, as an overlay, and/or as an underlay when bonded separately and with the remaining approved components in the assembly and when bonded under approved production conditions.
