SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a bulked continuous filament (BCF) nylon, low loop pile carpet, tufted into a synthetic primary foundation and then precoated. The precoated carpet is then laminat
、ed to a barrier material for improved fit and acoustical properties. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used for full floor applications on 2003 Ford vehicles. 3. REQUIREMENTS In addition to the requirements listed herein, the end-item carpet assembly (molded or o
、therwise fabricated), shall meet all requirements of the WSS-M8P16-A performance specification for full floor applications. Material specification requirements are to be used for initial qualification of materials. 3.1 QUALITY SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to
、 the Companys Quality System Requirements. 3.2 INFRARED SPECTROPHOTOMETRY AND/OR THERMAL ANALYSIS IR spectra and thermograms established for initial approval shall constitute the reference standard and shall be kept on file at the designated material laboratory. All samples shall produce IR spectra
、and thermograms that correspond to the reference standard when tested under the same conditions. 3.3 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONS All test values indicated herein are based on material conditioned in a controlled atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5 % relative humidity for not less than 24 h pr
