2、GG-F-331, This commercial item description covers hand files used for filing, smoothing, and finishing intricate and small surfaces. Salient characteristics: Mater ia1 : Carbon alloy steel. Design : Tang : Tapered in width and thickness to produce a pointed end. Square cross section. Double-cut (two
3、 sets of parallel cuts on the surface, one set crossing the other) on all four sides or double-cut on three sides and uncut (safe) on one side. Round in cross-sectional area. Uniform in diameter. Knurled (either diamond or straight) the full length, or intermittently knurled approximately one-half o
4、f the full length, for firm gripping. Tempered to a maximum hardness of 45 on the Rockwell C scale at a point approximately midway of its length and width. Teeth: Uniformly cut or etched and of uniform height throughout the fully cut portion. Cutting surfaces hardened to a uniform hardness. The dist
5、ance between the heel and point of the file, excluding the tang, shall be hardened to not greater than 68 nor 1 ssbhan 63 on the Rockwell C scale. Free from decarburization and brittleness. Marking: Marked with the cut number, the country of origin, and the name of the manufacturer or with a tradema
